AVOID - this place was TERRIBLE!! The best thing about the food was the boiled rice! The chicken in pineapple was bland and tasteless. The sweet and sour chicken was either non existing chicken or a tiny bit of chicken with overloaded BATTER
Had a take away friendly staff and food was very good and reasonably priced
Would eat again if in that area

Saw some negative reviews but thought I’d give it the benefit of the doubt! What a mistake! Meat was tough as rubber, so much sauce in each dish that had no recognisable taste to what the dish should have tasted like! All I can say and hate to say it, but the negative reviews are true. Save your money and go elsewhere. Sorry Silver Lake but spent £70 and threw £60 of it away!
Amazing food, pacific prawn curry, Cantonese sweet and sour prawn are to die for, spring rolls are massive and a meal in themselves, been coming here yrs, brilliant
Was on holiday husband wanted a chinese looked at the reviews thought id give it a chance but no not good the man serving from the very high counter was very nice ordered sweet sour balls they came the size of fish fingers they were tasty but was it fresh chicken ? Rice was ok Singapore noodles full of soya sauce couldn’t taste anything else as for the kung po chicken congealed jelly type of stuff around it was sickening sweet &s sauce awful

Thought I'd try this place as the locals say it's nice. I suppose that's what people say when you only have one Chinese in the area.
Salt and pepper chips just tasted of salt and seemed like the chips were pre cooked and then microwaved. Sweet and sour sauce wasn't nice at all and the soft noodles didn't smell or taste nice. Chicken balls didn't even attempt to eat them the dogs did. A waste of £17.. worse chinese I've ever had if I'm honest.
Will not be going back.
The man that served us was really friendly, but unfortunately the food just wasn’t very nice. We waited 30/40 mins which we thought was fine as we ordered for 8 people, but once we unpacked each dish it was nothing like we ordered or had eaten at any other Chinese. To top off the long wait we got outside to find some boys leaning on our bonnet having a chat..
Had takeaway for new years eve. Beef curry with chips. Chips lovely, curry was OK but not very strong curry flavour. Hubby had roast duck with orange sauce and egg fried rice. Delicious. Roast duck gorgeous. Will deffo return
