Shire pharmacy have gone above and beyond helping source my mother’s medication. She always struggles getting it on time and Shire pharmacy have made this so easy for us, even getting it delivered directly to her. The staff are always so helpful and polite and go out of their way to ensure each customer is looked after, there’s a lovely community feel. On occasion when she’s been short on medication, they’ve stayed after closing to prepare a few days so that she doesn’t miss any. The staff at this pharmacy are an asset and are what makes this place great!
Spent five minutes waiting at the counter to pick up a prescription. For the staff to be standing around talking they then looked in my direction and Continued to chat. Then after another few minutes to help me. Then get told they Couldn't fine the prescription the wait abover 3 minutes to Then get told to Write down my address with no more information as they Continued their chatting after another 2 minutes then get told it be afive minutes waiting. Not happy with the communication or service qnd beed to be sorted out as there was a line forming outside while I was being messed about.
Shire Pharmacy have been very helpful in sourcing medication that other pharmacies find hard to source. I am allergic to certain fillers in some tablets and they have always remembered this issue I have. If there is ever a problem they are quick to help or advise. All staff have a friendly helpful manner too.
Amazing chemist, there service is always beyond any other. They are all so friendly especially Yvonne. They are all part of the family. Nothing is every to much trouble for them. They even delivered my prescriptions for me while I was shielding. Wouldn't go anywhere else they are part of the family
Every time I go to get my prescription it’s never ready I have stood outside and heard other people say it was ordered 2weeks ago and they haven’t got it ready I fully understand that they are busy but looking behind the counter there is a lot of staff also I find the lady that serves to have a bit of a attitude and comes across as rude, Also they are letting people know they have to wear a mask that’s fine but not one member of staff is wearing one themselves...
This pharmacy is fantastic. When I first joined GP in area in March 19, I had nearly run out off meds. I had to contact previous GP and pharmacy in Swindon to get them to fax over copy so they could sort it out. I was nearly in tears, as previous surgery was vile to me on phone. I also now get meds in dositt box, which previous chemist refused.
Since last March when pendemic hit, they have been very good, trying to deal, prescriptions, social distancing, new patients, facemasks,stroppy customers and much more as they have come up.
Staff should be given a medal, with the hassle they get of customers. Especially when it's not there fault, such as missing prescription etc.
Also don't forget they dealing with more than one GP surgery.
I haven't got a medal but supplying cake instead ????
Absolutely awful service (as usual) at this pharmacy. The older lady with red hair behind the til is always very rude, however today was a joke. I stood on the right, where it says to stand, and tried to stand a little in the doorway as my little girl was freezing cold in the snow blizzard. She very rudely shouted at me to move out of the way of the door, although I was outside wearing a mask and nobody was entering or leaving. Then when the lady in the chemist had stopped showing the staff pictures of her kids birthday cake, talking about birthday celebrations etc (minutes after getting her prescriptions) we were allowed in and I was rudely told only two people at a time (I assume the red haired lady wanted my little girl to wait outside alone, however an elderly man offered to leave so we could both stand inside). Then an argument broke out in the car park whereby a three or four members of staff came running into the waiting area laughing and pointing at the argument. I’m vulnerable due to being pregnant and my little girl is poorly so ideally we wouldn’t be in that close proximity to people. However, we couldn’t leave because there was suddenly a gathering of around ten people very close to each other (including the pharmacy staff) right by the door: I find it absurd myself and my daughter were not allowed to stand together to shelter from the blizzard, however a large gathering were able to stand in the doorway to watch a fight preventing vulnerable people leaving the gathering.
I usually cannot recommend this pharmacy enough with their polite, efficient and generally fab customer service. However...I was very disappointed on my last visit on 22.5.20 where members of staff who were working side by side, had their facemasks pulled down, only one member of the 4 I could see was actually wearing her mask but even then, she only had it over her mouth and not her nose! Then, to top it all, one of the staff walks through pharmacy eating a biscuit!! There's one sign outside the shop that says to keep 2m apart and another that says keep 1m apart. I went to stand in the shop with one other lady, more than 1m apart and I was told to wait outside, which is a bit of an insult given their own rather lax, less than professional approach to to managing their Covid 19 hygiene. Greatly disappointed ithat at such an critical time, that a pharmacy of all places, could publicly be so unprofessional, uncaring andsa set such aa poor example.
