Five of us went there yesterday, as they don’t have a license, and serve only soft drinks and Mocktails, we took our own beer etc, and they are happy to provide glasses. Food and service excellent. We will go again when we are next in town.

We were visiting the area on holiday but would certainly eat here regularly if we were residents.
The service was lovely and friendly too.
Staff lovely, food lovely but...Saturday night Booked for 6pm, had show at the regal for 730pm, a simple main course for 3 took ages so were late for the show....had to ask them twice where the food was, never happened before but annoying, wasn't overly busy either.
Disappointed with the fish curry I had, especially for the price I paid for it over £10! Fish had not been marinated in the curry sauce just placed in the sauce & heated through, as the fish although cooked had no taste of curry.
From entering to leaving it was a good evening from the young man that seated us and took our order was attentive without being over eager, to the food that my wife and myself had was amazing, chicken tikka masala, chicken tikka Biriani vegetable curry peshwari naan, the flavours textures fantastic a very pleasurable experience.
Brilliant place! Great food, friendly staff, good value.???? Only thing that spoilt it was 3 overweight middle aged balding men in shirts and gilets who have never been taught manners...clicking their fingers at the staff, talking over everyone else, calling all the staff Abdullah ???? and it was only 8.30pm....my daughters 15 & 17 asked me why they were acting like pigs????...luckily we were just finishing our meals, i apologised to the staff as we left and hoped the idiots didn't stay to long.
Shout out to the staff member or boss/manager of the Shamraj restaurant, who lent my husband a jack so that he could change our flat tyre. We're very grateful and got home safely thanks to you ☺️
