Lovely Iron Age hill fort on the crest of the Berkshire downs. Worth a visit and a walk, can be quite exposed up there and a little windy.
Very quiet and peaceful. Nice walk from Manor Road along the ridgeway, but a bit slippy. The camp is very large and the ramparts make a circular walk. Wish I'd gone from Luscombe Regis village though!
Good walk if the sheep aren't there.stunning views and picturesque in may covered in wildflowers
It's public free and far away from crowd. Pleasant and calm
Cracking views along the Oxfordshire ridgeway. Nice place to walk the dog. Its on the ridgeway path witch leads to the white horse Uffington. Really good ride as well
Another bastion in my list of hidden gems where you can experience of panoramic views of hills, streams and town nearby with absolutely noone to disturb your peace. I went during the week, so I did not have to come across anyone. I felt this was a place where one can have a peaceful evening stroll or camp perhaps.
Beautiful place to sit and watch the world go by. Great for flying kites and having a picnic on the ramparts. Fairly moderate 1.5 mile walk from picture postcard village of Letcombe Regis.
Quite impressive raised walls considering the age of it. No info board which is a shame. Not a lot of info online either. Nice place to chill out for lunch. Oh how I would love to go back in time to get a glimpse of what life was like !
