Hidden gem. All of these reviews pulling this restaurant down are simply stupid. We came quite late on the afternoon. The owner said we can still sit down and eat although they were cleaning and tidying up from the rush.
Spotlessly clean, welcoming environment with a Turkish style. My girlfriend also Turkish so it was a very big surprise for us.
The food is amazing and good portion. Came quick, piping hot, properly sized and delicious.
We had dessert, and tea too after the food and everything was awesome. The owner is very charming, kind and generous.
We'll definitely be back. Keep up the good work!
Amazing! Beautiful cafe, very tasty food with great presentation and reasonable prices. They served some fantastic Turkish style coffee. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

A lovely place. The staff were very friendly, the hot chocolate and coffees were very good and the paninis were excellent. Looking forward to going back in better weather to take advantage of the outside seating.

Dreadful! Its not even worth the one star. We each had a slice of lemon and vanilla sponge. You would think you couldn't go wrong with it. First, we got the wrong cakes. Then it took an age to bring the correct cake. The cake was disgraceful, absolutely rock hard and dry. They had put it in the microwave to try and warm it up, probably in an effort to hide the fact it was well past its best. That didn't work! I have never in my life refused to eat cake that is served to me. I've had poor cake at places but this should have come with a not fit for human consumption warning. I honestly can't believe it was served to us. If food standards agency went in, it would be without a doubt closed down. The hot chocolate was poor, but we drank it. Very week with little flavour. We paid for the hot chocolate. We declined to pay for the cake. The member of staff didn't even check it before saying we didn't have to pay. I suppose he knew we were right. The staff lack any people skills. The food is not fit for sale and the place is grotty. It truly let Bakewell down.
Went today and had the best hot chocolate lemon drizzle and carrot cake and Marcello gave it us free as we are newly weds xxxx
Fabulous little cafe. Wonderful warm welcome and beautiful food. We had a gorgeous warm homemade cake with cream and a Turkish coffee with real Turkish delight. Can not recommend enough. Worth every one of the five stars!
Visited with family and chose here because they are dog friendly. Staff were fairly unfriendly but didn’t let that stop us. Ordered food and waited a long, long time. Food turned up minus my sisters meal of garlic mushrooms. We tried to talk to girl waitressing but she walked off. Turns out they had no garlic mushrooms but didn’t tell us, when we questioned it cook/dark haired little man became rude telling us his problems with staff - none of them spoke English as they are Romanian, Ukrainian and Hungarian - probably wrong job for them in customer service!!
Food very average, service appalling and didn’t date appraise cleanliness of kitchen!! Will defo never go back!
