Couldn't recommend more. A real honest garage who know exactly what they're doing, only carrying out the work that's required. Places like this where you can have confidence in going to, especially as a female are rare nowadays . So glad I found Davy who not only listens to you, but is friendly, couldn't be more helpful and up for explaining exactly what he's doing and why.
A world away from an experience I had with a larger garage in Ayr who not only tried to charge me for parts/work my car didn't need at a ridiculously inflated price, but also falsely failed my MOT on such! Unbelievable......but thanks to that, I found and can support a fantastic local garage.
I took my car in after a bit of a disaster with it throwing a belt. Davie took care of everything, going above and beyond, and the price was extrememly reasonable. I'll be using his garage for everything from now on :)
The owner david was very helpful and gave me an honest realistic price for the parts and work required taking the time to explaine what was needed and why,i would highly recommend this garage, in comparison i learned the main dealers quote included parts and work that were not needed and was ridiculously overpriced .

Davy is a proper mechanic who has the know how and experience to fix anything you throw at him. I've used other garages in the past and they employ "fitters" who only know how to bolt on new parts. Davy is the only guy I trust with my cars as he can problem solve in the "old school" mechanic's way.
Dave the owner is an absolute gem of a guy who will go out of his way to help you run you home bring your car back to you as well as doing an excellant job of repairs at reasonable prices.
Davy at Seaplane will help you or advise you the best course of action for all your inherent car problems.
He's a not so old 'old school' mechanic who is looking to get you back on the road safely.
