My husband took my car into this garage this morning to identify a clanging sound. The car was seen immediately and a suspension problem was diagnosed. The repair was completed immediately. Can’t get better service than that. We use this garage to service and MOT both our cars. We always receive excellent service, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Took our car for MOT , one of the mechanic took the car on the M6 with out my knowledge and blow the engine up .
Admits he had it in sport mode and high rev range.
After the owner Tom let us believe he will pay for the damage through his insurance, I received a phone call today informing me that he is not accepting responsibility and wishing me good day .
After being a loyal customer for over 4 years , I hope that helps people to make informed decisions prior using the garage. We just lost a car worth over £7000 ????

Haven't used these guys before, but following a recommendation I decided to give them a try as they are more convenient for my new location. Great service and pretty good value for money. Quoting sensible prices for the next major work that the old machine needs as well. Recommended.

Great service again for my Audi TT repairs .. it gave you a good fight on to dismantle as it is very stubborn won’t part with anything easily due to its classic age ..

I took my range rover sport for mot. We got a phone call to say they had blown the engine. All in all one of the mechanics had it on the m6 motorway. The mechanic admitted he had it in sports mode and high rev ranges when it happened. The garage said he would claim of his insurance. Had a phone call today two months down the line to say that his not excepting responsibility and we won't be getting payed out. We have used Scotby motors for four years as loyal customers. I advise people to avoid this garage..
Nightmare to deal with and so unclear. Avoid this garage. After the initial repair that took 4 days the fan belt snapped again after 3 days of driving. I called up and explained and was told I had supplied them with a low quality belt from euro car parts and it was on me, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After taking it back in it was in for 6 days 2 more belts were snapped, for total of 3 belts. At this point I had enough went an got the car and I’m going elsewhere. A lot of Stress, time and wasted money.
I was traveling to Edinburgh when I had a problem with my car popped in asked If they could help they were busy but fitted me in.A cuppa and a biscuit or two later and a great crack with the owner my car was fixed very helpful and very reasonable price.
