Due to a scheduling mixup on my part. I showed up to have a cleaning done today on Wednesday April 24 @ 2:00 P.M. My appointment was for Tuesday April 23 @ 2:00P.M.
When I scheduled my appointments I was told I needed to put down a deposit.
When I wanted to reschedule another appointment I was told I needed to make another deposit because the previous deposit was forfeited.
I have no problem with the policy but I wasn’t told before hand. It’s not in anything I’ve seen written.
I didn’t sign any paperwork stating my deposit would be kept and I would have to pay a deposit amount again. I requested a copy of this statement if signed but wasn’t furnished with a copy.(they didn’t have a copy)
I feel like I’ve been duped!!!!
PLEASE BEWARE OF THEIR POLICIES. (all policies aren’t stated up front)THERE IS NO TRUTH IN ADVERTISING HERE!!!
My dentist here is Anil.
He is so calm and gentle. Made me feel completely at ease. Did the work I needed there and then. Couldn't fault the service I received. Thank you Saxon Dental
After having been with this practice 40+ years, in it's various locations and dentists; I now couldn't be more disappointed with the general lack of care. You never see the same dentist twice, so many dentists leave, so as a patient, there is a huge lack of continuity, which is so important at a dentists. Apart from two staff who are longstanding and caring, the others lack care and empathy. This practice was always so thoughtful and caring, but no more.
Absolutely brilliant. I appreciate everything they have done for me. I admire all the staff for continuing to work throughout the pandemic, putting themselves as risk to care for their patients. Very grateful to have such a lovely NHS dentist as Ive heard they are impossible to find lately. I have always been met with friendly and positive attitudes despite the enormous stress they must be under with the current state of the NHS.
If you are a patient at this practise please be beware.... My personal experience with them has been as follows.. Having been registered with this practise for over 50 years, ( Risbygate Street, Hollow Rd and Lawson Place ) I tried to make an appointment with them last week .I was then told that I have been removed from their list because I have not attended recently. My last appointment I had booked was cancelled by them, so not much I could have done about that. I made contact with them last March, at the start of lockdown as I had a painful tooth and was told we are not seeing anyone at the moment Great !!! So through no fault of my own, I no longer have a NHS dentist!! Great to see how they are treating people these days, I guess its all about making money, as if dentist's don't make enough anyway. So please be aware if they cancel your appointment you might find yourself in the same situation as me....
ABSOLUTELY APPAULING!!! I took my terrified 6 year old daughter in for an emergency appointment, and the male foreign dentist was awful. She was petrified and after him holding an xray plate in her mouth whilst she was gagging she didn't want to lie down and the dentist offered no other options even though she has a tooth with a hole and is in agony, he said she needs a filling ASAP. He tried 2 times with her, and that was it. He just threw his arms up Rolled his eyes at her and me, raised his voice multiple times to tell me "she should have been registered with a dentist"! I proceeded to tell him I've been trying to find one for months but none are taking on! He rolled his eyes, and said well I have patients waiting. He was very patronising, I ended up crying, pleading for some kind of advice or help of another route i can go down with sedation or something. And nothing. I was not comforted, nor was my daughter. This is not even half of what he said and what happened. I am so devestated, and totally appauled, he should not be allowed to work with people let alone kids. I'm now left with my daughter still in agony with no other options! I walked out of the room and through the waiting area in tears and not 1 person asked if I was OK etc. No care at this practise at all, would certainly Not recommend unless you want to terrify you kid even more!!!
I cannot convey just HOW BAD SOME OF THE STAFF AT THIS DENTAL PRACTICE ARE!!!!!!!
Whatever you do, DO NOT see Anders Fagher! I received nothing but low grade treatment at this practice & was told that a roaring infection left in my mouth after an abysmal root canal treatment was "nothing" - Another dentist claimed it was just gingivitis when in fact I was still suffering from the abscess/infection they were supposed to treat!!!
This error in diagnosis was made by NOT JUST ONE, BUT TWO dentists - including Mr Fagher, & thanks to this traumatic experience I have endured months of misery, pain and, ultimately, tooth extraction!!
Thank goodness my claim against this practice was successful! I lost all faith in dentists the day I went to this practice - not to mention the hundreds of pounds it cost me when I tried in vain to save my tooth!!!!!
On the rare occasion I had to use this practice the dentist was incredibly heavy handed and my comfort was not a consideration. I was also not advised of an apointment i missed. As a result you are struck off the practices list. As I did not require their services very often a sceptical person might think they used the "missed" appointment to free up a space.
