Exceptional dining experience! This restaurant serves mouthwatering Iraqi cuisine that left me craving for more. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu offers a delightful variety of authentic Iraqi dishes bursting with flavor, from fragrant biryanis to succulent kebabs and hearty stews. Each dish was beautifully presented and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous, ensuring a satisfying meal every time. Whether you're a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or looking to try something new, this restaurant is a must-visit. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a culinary adventure!
This restaurant is amazing! I came on a Sunday at lunch time. Ordered the lamb neck. You get complimentary soup and bread along with a yummy salad and some dips. The neck dish was quickly served and it was big enough for 2 people easily. Lamb was fork tender and delicious along with two different rice and bulgur. It also comes with a vegetable dish of your choice - highly recommend the tapsi.
I left stuffed and with leftovers. Finished the meal with complimentary tea. The service was great and the food came so quickly. The main dish was only £15!! And with all the complimentary bits and pieces - all the food pictured was £15. It’s so cheap for what you get. Highly highly recommend
This is one of my top restaurant for food, service and value for money. They do the
best kofta kebab in town. They give a section of starters and bread for FREE and tea at the end. Must go to place.
Hands down the best Middle Eastern restaurant in all of London, in terms of quality, price value and service. Sarchnar offers a warmly impeccable hospitality in an unpretentious ambiance that adds to the charm of this restaurant. The food is authentic and portions are hearty. Looking around, every customer is joyfully tucking into his meal with bare fingers, sharing the experience with friends and family. This is the true mark of a gracious eatery that feeds the tummy and satisfies the soul. The biggest difficulty would be in deciding what best to order… between the grilled lamb, skewers of meats/innards and the giant plates of grilled whole fish… all accompanied by a generous free flow of warm flatbreads and Persian appetizers, you might be longing to return before your meal has even begun.
it's not the first time we often go to this restaurant for dinner. My favourite is their grill platter.. they offer lavish starter including soup salads hummus etc which is all complimentary. 5 stars for their food
I have been going to this place for years, it is my mother’s favourite restaurant.
Pros:
- Tasty soft kofteh kebabs!
- Delicious complimentary soup
- Staff are very attentive & helpful.
- Reasonable pricing
Cons:
- This restaurant tends to get quite busy, so do expect to wait outside for 15 minutes before getting seated.
- Cash only
Lentil soup served as soon as we sat down. Later they gave us fresh warm bread, hummus, salad, yoghurt / cucumber starter which was all free. Lamb shank was really cooked well served with plenty of rice & bulgar. Will visit again
If you want true quality Iraqi food, then you won't get better than this outside of Iraq.
Everything is amazing here, the negatives would be that if you go at busy times you'll be unlikely to find seating on the spot, you'll be looking at waiting 20mins+.
And they only accept cash.
Otherwise the food is AMAZING, kebab and fish are s must get. Everything we tried was phenomenal.
The service and prices are also great.
Everything is halal
