Lovely afternoon for Xmas kids party. Thanks to the girls for a great time. All very friendly staff ????
Outstanding service, beautiful food, wonderful staff, was made to feel very welcome and staff were really good with dietary requirements! And I loved how the gluten free options were on the menu rather then having to ask for a separate menu! 10/10 would deffo recommend and will definitely return
Food is decent. Coffee is massively overpriced. £3.25 I think for a flat white and was served a coffee that did not resemble a flat white in taste or size. Milk was way way too hot and burnt, so I have no idea what the espresso itself actually tasted like. Also overhead a manager giving some totally wrong coffee training to staff.
Nice enough place to eat and meet up with people but if you’re expecting a good coffee from trained baristas, go elsewhere.
My Wife and I visited Sancerre wine bar recently we chose this place because it was lit up by the sun shine and thought it would be nice to sit out side and have a coffee, when we were seated we found the table to be dirty and asked the waitress to clean it to which she was more then happy to do but only half, Without moving the ash tray or the menu.
We ordered hot chocolates and a scone they arrived nothing amazing but ok.
We were asked to pay up as the cafe was closing shortly so we did.
The staff left soon after, Leaving my wife and i out side with the remainder of our empty cups and plates on the table, There were other tables with rubbish on them that had also been left.
Its a good job we didn't need to use the rest room,
In my opinion its good practice to wait for the paying customer to leave before you close even if they are sat outside.
We also didn't know that its our responsibly to complete track and trace as the first time we went to a cafe after lock down we were given a form to fill in and haven't been out since.
We hadn't filled any forms in and were not asked to by the staff, Online or paper form.
I thought long and hard about writing this review because i understand not every day is a great day but after contacting the owner directly to tell them about our experience i didn't feel i was treated well in stead i was patronised almost to the point where i wish i hadn't bothered to say anything.
First told that they would check CCTV, then conveniently CCTV doesn't cover that table and then to finish when the evening shift arrive it was all perfect out side with no dirty tables. Maybe the wind took the rubbish away?
Unfortunately we will not return here we have had far better experiences in the area.
Regards.
Superb as always, excellent food, fantastic service, very nice!
Great idea to have a wine bar in Eccleshall but a disappointing first visit. Very small outlet, Table size is restricted so juggling crockery all evening !
Only two beers on draught one of which is lager, the other Duval is 6% abv.
All other beer was bottled.
Whilst I wouldn't suggest having a dress code teenagers in ripped jeans walking in and out all night doesn't set the right image.
Food was good but at £30 per head too expensive.
Staff were welcoming but our overall impression was that this is their first venture, more training required.
Arrived there just after closing so couldn't get a coffee but the lady working there was friendly and welcoming and kindly allowed me to use the bathroom despite not being able to order anything. Very nice and cosy cafe and hope to visit again for a coffee next time.
Usually good but today was an off day. Only 3 other tables occupied when we arrived a little after midday but two food orders took 20 mins and my wife's ham/cheese croissant was forgotten. My poached eggs were overcooked and cold. The toast was soggy with water. The croissant took another ten minutes and was squashed flat with almost no cheese. Instead of following up the waitress was texting behind the till. Another customer remarked that the cook was distracted by children in the kitchen. The coffee was good. (The till had a problem but I paid by bank card so no delay there.)
