Wow. First visit. We will definitely be back. Amazing burgers. Cheesy garlic fries were delicious. We also had the bao buns, Korean chicken and pork belly. They were so good! Great place to chill and eat. Loved the No Face dotted around for Studio Ghibli fans...
ORDERED TAKEAWAY.
Ordered as a takeaway to Kip & Nook for a time slot. It arrived on time. Everything was just as described, if anything better!!
100% happy with the Belly Buster choices we made. Photo attached (excl one burger, partner was so excited to eat)
“Njuda really like it” is a burger I’d buy over and over again
When we come back to the area, definitely will buy again
Only downside, website wasn’t fully working but was able to order via links in Gmaps
Really good food as always. Burgers are out of this world! I definitely recommend you try this place at least once. Staff attentive and friendly too!
My wife and I had been wanting to try Salt for quite some time and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic, possibly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and the Gyros was also superb. Very good portion sizes, great service and a lovely venue. We will definitely be back. Can’t wait to try out more of the amazing menu.
Made the journey down from North Shields for my partners birthday as a surprise as he lives street food and it was well worth the trip. Food was perfect and we can’t wait to return to sample more of the menu as there was so much choice. Best meal out in a very very long time… Edit as this was posted before our dessert arrived, our waitress was lovely and friendly and went to order our dessert, there was a bit of a wait the same as the mains but no issue with waiting as food was so so good and they were busy. However another woman who I assume was the floor manager came over to let us know (approx 25mins after we ordered dessert and it was yet to arrive) that our table was needed for the next party arriving in 10 minutes. She was very abrupt and honestly don’t know if she knew how to smile she was so rude. Explained we were waiting for our desserts to which her reply was “that’s not ideal I will go and chase them”. She then came back and told a table two down from us that arrived after us and had just finished their food they would need to leave soon to accommodate the new people arriving. All in all our meal was lovely and our waitress was so kind and attentive but the night was let down by the other service team members lack of hospitality. This won’t put us off returning though as everything else was fab. Just hope she isn’t working next time we go!
I can never fault salt I really can’t. We normally get a takeaway which is always 10/10, but last night we went the restaurant for a meal and I don’t know how but dining in is even better! I tried the new beef Barbacoa tacos and omg not to be dramatic but it was honestly the best thing I’ve ever eaten.
I also love cocktails they do, never had anything like them before and they are so nice as well.
Honestly I don’t think I need to say how nice salt is because I think everyone knows by now how good their food is but I just had to say how nice those tacos were! Unreaaalll
Tried to eat here a few times on weekends but it’s always fully booked so we were hoping that meant the food was good and our suspicion was correct. We managed to get a table on a Saturday night and were treated to a warm welcome from very friendly staff. It was quite busy but not too cramped or noisy like other places and the background music was nicely playing in the background and not drowning out our conversation. I rarely eat burgers but the “my Dad is Bald” took my fancy and it was delicious, I needed up eating the last few bites really slowly because I did not want it to end ???? my other half had tacos and rated them as very tasty. The fries were really good too. We will definitely be back here again soon to sample more of the menu.
Great food, chill atmosphere, good service, but £3.50 for 1 can of soft drink. But an overall good place, would 100% recommend.
