Lovely fish and chips tonight at Sab's Plaice. We've just come back from holiday in Cornwall where we were fleeced for fish and chips... much better portion size and price here in Lincolnshire.
The large cod I had here was twice the size I got down in Cornwall! Great value!!
Where to start, cheesy chips packed upside down, barely any cheese, no salt or vinegar, very greasy! Burger bun stuck to the top was unable to rearrange this following delivery, very little sauce and burger was dry. Chicken nuggets on the up side not too bad!
Apologies for not leaving you guys a review earlier, where do I start. These guys are very good at what they do. I've been a customer since before it was renamed 'sabs plaice'. Whether you opt for eat in, or delivery you won't be disappointed. The resurant is clean and modern. The delivery is almost always on time or early (expect a longer wait on busy days).
My usual is fish and chips with curry sauce and never had a bad meal.
I would reccomend the battered desserts, the doner chunks are incredible, and the varety of dessert waffles are amazing.
This place does battered Mars bars, so I’m leaving five stars out of respect and gratitude for that. Great chippy
Food was ok. There was no atmosphere in the shop and service was slow, no smiling involved at all.
Avoid this Chippy! Me an my mate both had a Chip butty & Battered sausage. Gave us about 5 chips each which was still hard in the middle, Breadcake was cold, dry an crumbly an the battered sausage was just full of grease. Waste of £10 and didn’t even seem bothered when giving them feedback.
Wouldn’t even feed it to my dog it was that bad ????????

Ordered, battered burger, chips, BATTERED sausage and a gravy and musty peas, and I can honestly say I’ve never had anything worse. The first thing was my sausage wasn’t even battered, secondly my gravy was stone cold. Then the musty peas were that dry and stuck together they were like cardboard. The chips were also cold. My worst experience of my life
