My Porsche Cayenne Turbo was nudged by a car and had superficial front bumper damage. The car was picked up from my house and driven approximately 16 miles to Rye Street Haverhill to be repaired. The car was returned early and on a truck rather than driven (star given for that). The repair was excellent, I didn't know if it was the original bumper or a brand new one (four stars given). However I found there was no fuel in the car, fuel range was zero (is that why it wasn't driven back?). So I looked at the pics taken when the car was collected and it had 1/4 tank. So approximately 16 miles travelled and 1/4 tank of fuel. I know my car has been at the very least driven "enthusiastically". Yes it's a performance gas guzzler but that's 25 litres to drive 16 miles (-1 star). Further to this there was already a visible chip to the driver's door however looking at the car yesterday it is now bigger and dented where it was flat before (-1 star). Finally the car has been showing electrical issues since returning.
EDIT: I had listed suspension errors which the car had upon its return. I have had Porsche diagnostic run on the car and it seems the chassis error was coincidental rather than consequence so the review is now reflective of this finding. The review is now 3 stars. However the quality of the repair itself was worthy of five stars.
I don't recommend this garage, people work there with no experience, they repaired my car for four weeks and returned it with new damage, streaks on the paint, and more, and the manager Mark thinks everything is OK, this garage is a joke
If I could I would give no star at all.
Since my insurers passed my case to these people it's been absolutely nerve racking experience.
First of all it took ages to get my car booked in with them. They promise call back and never do and lie about calling and leaving messages, so you need to waste your own time and money to call them and chase them up.
Then finally when car came back repaired bumper corner was still with masking tape left overs on it and new scratch damage on rear bumper.
After speaking with site manager Mark White and confirming that this is new damage caused on theirs site ,he promised to book in again to fix this problem, but guess what happened. Waited for over week and nothing, ended up calling them again and asking why nobody has called and booked my car in. And the same story , SORRY SORRY there must be some miscommunication between him and booking desk.
From these feedback here what I saw clearly you can see it's something wrong here with communication between staff and customers. As responsible site manager don't you think this should be picked up and worked on it. Or you don't care?
If I had choice again I would never go with this garage for any repairs ever again.
I hope my feedback will help to save somebody's nerves in future.
Attached pictures of repaired bumper with masking tape left overs
And second picture with new damage caused by them.
Thank you!
I wouldn't trust this company to put the milk on my cereal in the morning
I can't be bother to write a massive review but AVOID using this company
** Be aware of positive reviews. Yo get pay you £10 for a positive review **
-Sub standard work
-NO communication at all (mainly because they don't answer the phone)
See photos for the first attempt at repair (the car was back 3 times and it's still not right )
Still waiting for a job to be done as their prestige/standards. Claim with the insurance was done more then 1 mouth ago, received the car and see the pics. The pics say all about the job so far. 2 weeks already since last email I send and no response from team/manager.Repeat...I send, with no reply.Pictures attached so make conclusions...PS the original pain is the bonnet part(which in time fades from UV and temperatures)but now is "darker" then the "job".Spoiler missed some parts and "good"fading technique.Waiting for updates and answers after 2 weeks and still waiting
Rye street have had my car in for repair since the beginning of MAY it is now the end of August. I have been constantly told we can't get the parts, nothing out of the ordinary was required. no-one from the garage phoned us, we had to chase then every time we wanted information, only to be fobbed off with the waiting for parts speil. Twice now we have heard from them but only to let us know that the parts are not in yet. late last week I was old that the car just needed cleaning and then it would be ready to come home. Again no-one called so I rang them only to be informed after a 15 minute wait that the parking sensor still need to be fitted. How many more excuses and empty promises can they come up with? I rang them today at 5.05pm only to hear a recording saying that office was closed and the opening hours were 9.00am to 5.30pm. I have to say that I am not impressed with the service received and no matter how good their work is I hope never to use them again. The MOT has run out so that is something else to sort if/when we ever get the car back.
We were provided with a courtesy car for the duration of our repairs and it was clean and of a similar size as our own. Repairs did take a couple of weeks but down to a part that was on back order. We were initially told that enterprise would provide the car and that we could pick it up there and drop off ours due to the garage not being open at weekends. This was cancelled without us knowing - I'm glad I checked before setting off to Bury else would have had an hour's round trip wasted journey.
Unfortunately place the worst garage I have ever been to ,the was taken in the second week of July, for an accident repair to the rear of the vehicle after several weeks I had to phone them for progress report told waiting for parts.
Finally it would be ready 11 August called them it had failed quality check called them Monday 13 August vehicle will be ready Friday 18 August called them Thursday 27th oh vehicle won't be ready as it is to be valeted and quality check Friday 18th ,Monday 21 st vehicle is ready , Wednesday get vehicle back. So we werecon holiday in Lincoln wrcfound parking sensors not working no radio we informed fmg on Saturday 26th , we returned from holiday 29th August called garage bring the car to rye Street garage Friday 9 am .
This is Friday 1st I asked the receptionists how to get into town as I would wait for car ,they said they would call me ,at 12 I called them I was told vehicle only just in workshop they will call me .no call.
I went back to garage at 2 pm .manager says oh we can't sort out today come back Monday I said I need car to get home .oh he didn't realise I was waiting for it.
Monday4 th Sept radio fixed not doing sensors as not part of accident why not tell me on the Friday. I spoke to engineer who said he was very busy and only saw the radio antenna connector hanging down in rear window 5 hours to establish the obvious.
I called several times to speak to someone .I sent an email to rye Street group and got a phone call on Friday 11th September a Scottish chap who said he would look into the matter r pm Friday he called to say he had contacted fmg who hadn't responded, he would call me Monday 14th. Monday 14th called garage receptionist said she would speak to manager he apparently said I need to go back to fmg and prove the vehicle sensors werworking after accident , and amazingly she said we will return your car Wednesday really I replied my car is at home !! Oh she replied, constant promises of call backs and unbelievable customer service I am still waiting for call back from the Scottish chap he did call when I was at work I have left 2 messages for a callback no response.
I am still waiting for an explanation as to how a quality check fails to spot radio connector hanging down in window ,and who would disconnect sensors surely if you fit 2 new sensors someone should check to see if they are working connect the sensors to do this.see photo if you were doing a quality check would you spot this!!??
