Best KPortal Reviews

Went in this morning for 2 coffees and 2 cakes. Coffee was undrinkable and cakes tasted old and cheap and they were anything but cheap! Poor. It really needs to up its game as the park is great.
Not very welcoming. The grumpy character serving clearly didn't want to there. He sighed and groaned, rolled his eyes when i told him ( at 4:20pm ) that i had wanted to sit -in and didnt want to take-away.. The website said it was open til 6:00 so i presumed i had plenty of time. I guess he wanted to shut up early and get off home.
A wee " hi " ... " how can I help you ?" Or " what would you like " .... even a "thank you" would have been nice but that was never happening with this dude. He didnt engage.
Was like being served by Basil Fawlty. A young fella not happy in his work.
The coffee was OK but no idea what you guys do the scones. Jeezo. Was inedible
First time I've been anywhere with no atmosphere.
I won't be back but can actually laugh at it now when I think of the antics of Basil. He was everything that customer care and customer satisfaction is NOT about.
Sorry I'm leaving such negative feedback but it's as positive as I can make it.
Poor service, rude staff, overpriced for overcooked (but lukewarm at best) food.
Update - if I could give negative stars I would. The frappé is completely tasteless and comes in 2 glasses?!
Barshaw Park was very nice and peaceful, it was plesent to sit in the Peace Garden which is at the top corner of the hill and chill out and then have a bite to eat in the Cafe to finish the day.
Rude staff, overpriced, poor food. Closes at 6pm but won't serve food after 4pm because they want to go home early.
Avoid like the plague.
Around The cup of my coffee wasn’t clean, the staff wasn’t on the good mood, normal cake and coffee with no design ,my friend and I never back again.
Surprisingly good food and drink (homemade soup, especially good), and lots of space for buggies, etc.
The cleanliness of the floor in the eating area suffers rather from it being so family friendly, but the kitchen looks clean and it is good value for money.
The opening hours are not terribly fixed - when we went in after five and asked when they shut they didn't know(!) and remained open after we were done.
Totally overpriced. Went with my 3 grandkids, age 5, 3 and 1yr olds, bought SMALL ice cream tubs and was charged £2.50 each absolute daylight robbery and service was terrible . Ice-cream was on the board priced at £1.80 but charged me £2.50 each and told it was different ice-cream. Taking advantage of the sun and overpricing for ice-cream......... won't be back ????
