We moved over this way a couple of years ago and have struggled to find a good takeaway for Chinese food. We found this place after trying somewhere last week which was pretty average. I can honestly say that the food was tremendous. We had Chicken curry, which was very tasty and plenty of meat. House special chow mein which again was packed with various meats and prawns and was absolutely fantastic. The place was clean and looked very well run. We have found a go to Chinese that we will back to regularly 10/10
Haven't had a good Chinese for a long time, I've been passing this one for a while now and decided it was time to give it go, I wasn't disappointed, crispy beef in Cantonese sauce, mixed ordervs, fried rice and prawn crackers, spot on ????

Our usual Chinese takeaway was closed so thought we'd try here after hearing good things about it. Sadly we were really disappointed. The king prawns in teriyaki sauce was inedible, it was in a sickly sweet pinkish red sauce that was like no other teriyaki sauce I'd ever had, my husband can normally eat anything but even he couldn't stomach it and the whole thing went in the bin. The chicken in black bean sauce was OK but padded out with onions and green peppers with little chicken and the chicken and sweetcorn soup had a texture of wallpaper paste with no taste. Maybe we hit on a bad night but we were left very underwhelmed
I went for the first time a few weeks ago. Very happy with the service.
I bought a munchy box type thing (I think it's called a Rosie Special).
Everything in it was cooked very well.
I'm not complaining, but for my tastes I'll ask for no salt on the chips, next time.
But there'll be a next time, for sure ???????? very good. And the lady on the reception, was very friendly.

Tried here three times giving the benefit of doubt but every time it's been ultra greasy. The taste is not good or authentic. For example, the wontons from the soup are obviously the frozen small ones from Chinese supermarkets. Beef is chewy.
They don't take card payments, it's bank transfer or cash only.
Top takeaway. Better than most Newcastle Chinese restaurants
Rosies is the best by far in the North East, my brother visits from Glasgow & it's his 1st & only stop now.
