The last 2 times I have been here is been a horrible experience. No texts when prescription is in, I talk to the doctors who say it is, I go and the pharmacists blame the doctors, back and forth and not handled sensitively by the pharmacists. I'll be going somewhere else from now on. The 2 stars are for the lovely staff on the front.
This is my local pharmacy which I consciously decided to go to instead of a big name pharmacy in order to support local businesses.
The staff are extremely nice and know people who are regulars which is very sweet!
However, I’ve given them this rating because of the quality in admin and accessibility. 70% of the time I can’t get anyone on the phone.
They have also made errors that are not huge but end up costing more time, effort and energy for the patients to resolve. I’m not sure if the positives outweighs the negatives for me anymore and I’ll be switching pharmacies.
If you go here make sure you know exactly what you need and check what they’ve given you, as they don’t allow refunds and the guy behind the counter gave me what, in hindsight, is clearly the wrong medication which would not have cured an infectious condition.
I went to the pharmacy on Monday and there were a few customers and i needed something a bit discrete. I told the woman at the counter and she was incredible. She made sure no one could hear, she got the product and put it in a paper bag and nobody noticed. i was really grateful and had no embarrassment at all. I cant remember the last time i had such brilliant customer service. She was a complete credit to the pharmacy.
The Pharmacist saw me almost immediately, a private room was available for the consultation. He was polite and attentive, showing appropriate interest in what I was saying. He explained some medical terms in a clear easy to understand way. Then gave me sound advice about my options. A superb, first class service. Thank you so much.
Initially, it was ok, but after a while, I had numerous times with repeat medications not being ready and not there even to collect. I kept being told to chase up with GP or call 111. Is it not a pharmacy's job to help customers with prescription issues?
I have been attending Rose Chemist for many years and the customer service provided by Julie who works front of store has always been beyond amazing. You can never tell when she is having a bad day because her professionalism always over shines. I have nothing but praises to say about Julie, as a young person/mother i have always felt comfortable in confiding in Julie and receiving professional/ accurate advice from her. Although she is not a doctor her recommendations have always been effective for what i have required. Julie has also saved me from going blind in one eye as i had severe Uveitis in my eye which was causing blindness, i had attended the pharmacy for eye drops and was just hoping it would go away in time. Julie who knows me well knew i was not taking it serious and urged me the importance to get it checked out asap. Only due to Julies request for me to go to the eye hospital was when i was diagnosed and was very close to going blind. I am forever greatful to have a person in the pharmacy that i can fully trust (even more than some doctors sometimes) None the less all the staff I have encountered in this pharmacy have been amazing to me over the years.
Came here 3 weeks ago for a 24hr blood pressure monitor. Small consulting room, and odd sulphuric and mouldy smell of the whole pharmacy though. Pharmacy and staff friendly enough. Good range of products and there is someone to explain something to those who find medical things overwhelming.
