Thought I’d give this shop a try given that it was a new chip shop which had opened in place of George and Anne’s. Safe to say I won’t ever be going back. The chips were very bland, tasteless and undercooked. Just looking at the pictures you’ll see how depressing they look. The curry sauce is 100% your generic Goldfish chinese curry sauce which you buy off the shelf at Asda and Tesco. So your best off just making that at home.
For £5.20 for a large chips and curry sauce, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. I’ve tried most chip shops around Brighton and I’m sad to say that this is probably one of the worst. Can’t see it being open for very long tbh.
Bought a large order for over 15 adults and everyone finished their meal. It was delicious. We ordered at lunch for collection just after 5pm.
It was steaming hot, delicious and the fish was very fresh. It was not dripping with grease as some places do.
When we order a large amount of food it can be a daunting challenge to get value for money plus an edible meal that everyone will enjoy.
We had seen lots of good reviews on FB which is why we decided to try Rose's Fish Bar.
We were not disappointed and the customer service was fantastic too.
We didn't have to wait long to collect our order... It was ready for collection when we arrived.
We are due for another big order soon and will be returning here again....

On my inaugural visit, I discovered that this is the finest fish and chip shop I have encountered in Brighton so far. The staff, while somewhat friendly, served up a substantial portion of chips in the large bag I ordered. Without a doubt, I will be returning here.
Best fish and chips, and im lucky to have one this close. The staff are also very lovely! Worked in the area for three years, and thankfully, this shop has recently opened by me. Go there every week without fail. Pricea are very, very reasonable. I hope it stays that way.
The large chips were huge, and only £3.50. They're average chip shop chips but I found they tasted good. Haven't tried anything else but I'm happy to see some vegetarian options on the menu.
The staff was nice and even kept my food warm while I was waiting for my friend's order to be finished. It's a small but nice shop for a quick takeaway. Nothing fancy but doesn't have to be.
This shop is brand new and opened on 13/10. They are finding their feet. I'm really pleased to have met a lovely friendly team. Absolutely delicious fresh fried cod and a good size for large. Excellent quality and generous chips which were perfect. Our new favourite chippy. Fillets you finally have some decent local competition. ????
I found out about the new chippy 5 days ago and I have now been 5 times. Staff are great and have even given me chips for free. Great portion size and fairly priced. Highly recommend.
So happy we have an amazing local fish & chips. Tried it once and it was amazing, can’t wait to go again! Not greasy, crispy fish, lots of other options too, and very tasty gherkins
