Just perfect! We ate here on Wednesday (31st may). Sally was so lovely squeezing us in last minute, and was even more accommodating when we were running late ! From stepping into the restaurant the staff were so friendly and welcoming.
Michael the chef even advised me on the starter I had chosen, and came to just Check, being 28 weeks pregnant i wasn't sure If I could have the salmon the way it was cooked. He checked and advised me that it wouldn't be suitable as it was cold cooked salmon. It was no issue for them to swap my starter for the pork and beef meatballs ..which were the best I've ever tasted !! The sauce was so flavourful too.
For mains my partner had a "build your own pizza" which was so fresh. The base was perfect too. I had the pasta in white sauce, cheese ,chicken, bacon ,and mushroom baked with mozzarella. BEST tasting pasta dish again I've ever had. Portions were big too and if you couldn't finish them you could have it parcelled up to take away!
I had chocolate orange tart with vegan ice cream, it was beautifully made and not too overpowering or sickly! My partner had the waffle with caramel sauce and ice cream which again tasted out of this world!
Our server (I am so sorry I can't remember her name) was amazing. So friendly. So polite and had a good laugh with us. She advised me what non alcoholic gins, beers and vodkas they had and recommended a nice non alcoholic gin with a slice of lemon . It was so delicious I asked which it was and purchased a bottle today whilst driving home!!
Sally and the whole team made the last night of our last holiday before baby arrives, just amazing and rounded off our time in scotland in the most perfect way.
We will definitely be returning next year . If you are near the area or even if not its worth the drive ! A beautiful area, with a 5 star gorgeous restaurant run by the most kindest, friendliest people.

Lovely cup of tea and coffee ☕️ served after follow the road along a bit more for some fantastic veiws over the Loch
Pretty good place. We had the spicy prawns, salmon bruschetta and the wood fired pizza, all were great. Service was brilliant too. Just a pity they didn’t let dogs inside and although the outdoor deck was beautiful, they could use a heater on cold nights. Would be stunning in the summer. Will return without the pooch the next time.
We’re staying at Melfort Timeshare Village. Can’t book a table at the restaurant - nutty dog - so we got a takeaway.

5 out of 5 for food and service, lovely roast dinner, and fab dessert and our waitress was very attentive. Just one minor observation we noticed, is the restaurant area could of been abit cosier, however it wouldnt put us off, and would be more than happy to return. Many Thanks ????
Best meal in a week of seven suppers in a weeks holiday. Superb, visited on our last evening wish we had earlier as we’d of been back... we will when we visit the area again. Superb cooking, to a level far above other establishments, charming service, good value, great portions and high quality. Above the great little day cafe but a different venue - the only thing it needs is perhaps slightly slicker marketing. Start an instagram and maybe slightly more distinctive and bold signage? Keep up the good work! Reviews and pictures online currently do not do this lovely new establishment justice.
Reasonable food. Strange how it's no more room and the place is empty and refuses to do take outs on the plus side staff are happy and pleasant. Good for a quick bite to eat.
Honestly the nicest place I’ve been to in this area, kindest servers and relaxed yet sophisticated ambiance. Food was really good and appropriate portion sizing, specials were very fresh. 100% recommend.
