I'm unlikely to buy beef from anywhere else now I tasted the one they sell. Lots of other lovely meat and cheese based products. Plus the cake shop around the corner: the best in Southampton, in my opinion.
Good Romanian shop, has the most popular foods available and also a kitchen which prepares fresh and delicious deserts! Average prices, considering that most of the products are imported from Romania.
A lot of food, sweets, snacks, romanian and moldovian wine, canned food (pickles, pointed peppers - kapia -, sweet flat pepper - gogoșari, zacuscă and so on. Real romanian food. For my romanian people in Southampton: au branza adevarata!!!
The store, the owners and staff of which do not care about the people living in the neighborhood (potential buyers), who are forced to admire the view of the wastes left constantly by this store and thereby breed unsanitary conditions.
???????? I had a meeting in Southampton at a local solicitors, I went to buy a can of cola in the shop after & a smart attractive lady started chatting to me in what I think was Polish, I said I'm British, she smiled ????
We walked out of the shop together talking & she asked if I would like lunch with her, she was really pretty about 30 years old & called Ola.
I was really pleased I bought a drink & she spoke to me. We had a lovely lunch up the road & we exchanged numbers, she explained she was from Ukraine and came with her two children, she was staying with a host family, we have become good friends & we have gone out for days out with her two children. Great Friendship simply buying a cold drink in a local supermarket.
Wonderful and good quality products. Staff friendly and helpful. They also recommended the patisserie section few yards round the corner, where we have purchased delicious panettone & other goodies (I will let the readers to discover the other tasty products) . Both shopps very clean - a pleasure to be there. Spend an hour examining the products - good selection, choices and presentation - well done. One point to mention is that some customers have no attempt in wearing face masks which put staff and oner in a difficult position .
This is one of the most beautiful and pretty cakes I have ordered. Lots of time, effort and love was put into the cake. It was very delicious and good value for money. I would highly recommend anyone to order a cake here, for any celebratory occasion. Thank you!
I don’t buy often from the Romanian Shop even if I’m Romanian too because the prices are too much and I didn't expect less because I know the corner shop tend to increase prices more than necessary. But it’s a nice shop, with a lot of sorties to choose from and if you are British or any other nationality and you will like to try something Romanian, I do recommend you to go and buy it from here. I never tried the meat and cheese from there as I don't how fresh they are and with the pregnancy, I’m quite serious about those things but you can always ask them.
I like having a Romanian shop around as sometimes it reminds me about my home back there and the food and ingredients we use are quite different from what the UK is selling.
