This is a vacation's heroes garage. Our motorhome side mirror was picked by crazy driver on Glencoe. It was our first day on vacation, and we didn't think we could move forward without a mirror. We got an amazing fast service at robertson's lochaber garage from amazing people. If we were living closer that would be our main garage.

We were driving from North Yorkshire to stay with friends on their croft on the Isle of Skye when we joined the ranks of other motorhomers who have clashed wing mirrors with a vehicle heading the other way. The best Scottish roads are the really narrow ones, the single tracks with passing places. Slow but safe. The worst ones are those that are just not quite wide enough for the speeding traffic, a prime example being the A82 between Glencoe and Fort William, as we discovered. Fortunately, Google quickly brought up Robertson’s garage in Fort William where John is only too familiar with the problem. Completely wrecked, the offside double mirrors had carried multiple wires to move them and to work the built-in indicator and side lights. At Robertson’s a whole new system was immediately sourced and fitted, all while we sat inside the motorhome eating lunch. Great work, expertly done and reasonably priced.

The Bearing on our family bus started grumbling and needed changing asap as we go home on Sat 3rd feb phoned several garages and all declined

Unreliable garage, very poor communication with the customer. The receptionist's attitude is atrocious. She raised her voice at me and made some serious allegations in attempt to hide what clearly was her mistake. Such attitude is not acceptable.
Furthermore, I have had a quote sitting with the garage for over three months, a simple ABS sensor and bearings replacement, they still have not been able to sent me the quote, however I am not interested to support this garage anymore..
I do NOT recommend this garage. I am not saying the mechanics are bad, I believe they may do their job professionally, however there are cheaper and more reliable garages in Fort William where you will get to speak with the mechanics directly and you will not have to deal with a frustrated receptionist with childish attitude, disrespect to customers and poor technical knowledge and whom wages are reflected in your high bill..
We broke down whilst touring Scotland and the recovery service dropped us here as he said he knew they were the only garage in Fort William that would help us out without having to wait a week for an appointment. He wasn't wrong. We were at the garage when John arrived at 7am and he said he would take a look for us. Turned out we needed a new alternator, not a small job on a VW camper with air-conditioning, but John sourced the part and had us on our way by 4pm the same day.
John and his team are friendly, professional and super helpful, we wouldn't hesitate in recommending them. Thanks for enabling us to carry on with our holiday!
I cannot speak highly enough of the team at this garage! I broke down in the middle of nowhere and was towed to Robertsons. I was with my two young sons on holiday from Ireland. The AA had totally let me down and I was in a state of panic. Nowhere to stay, no idea what was wrong, it was raining, and it was closing time at the garage. But they could see my utter desperation and stayed late to look at the car, diagnose the problem, and get us on our way again. Truly these gentlemen rescued me from a nightmarish set of circumstances!! (Apologies to the team, my review is long overdue. But thank you again for saving us. We made it back to Ireland and I bought a new car!)
