I’ve just this minute booked MOT & Service, I’ve used this engineering Motor Engineering work shop since moving to Sally Lunns Collingbourne Ducis 7 years ago, what I like is the straightforwardness of the owner Rick; He is a very capable engineer, honest reliable he and his employees are very helpful and honest.
This business is local which has a good reputation in this village. The forecourt is invariably full of customers car awaiting attention
Unlike a lot of pop up businesses these days, one doesn’t have reservations about paying for the service provided because; you feel your getting good value.
Sorted out one of Peugeot diesel's infamous emissions problems on my son's car. Did the work at short notice and at a reasonable price and, most importantly, the emissions light went out and a month later has not returned. Recommended.
What a fantastic find ! Been and had a service at one of the major chains and they pointed out an issue and tried to push getting the parts change. I wasn’t sure it needed changing, so popped in and chatted to the owner Rick. Well what a pleasure -very knowledgeable -experienced and a mean-able person. Stopped what he was doing and looked at the issue flag by the other company and assured me that it didn’t need changing at the present time and only 1 part and not the package they were suggesting. I would wholeheartedly recommend this garage and will be taking my vehicles to Rick and my friend will also be changing to him as well.
Fantastic garage cant fault them. I rang at 3pm as i notice last minuite my mot was running out the next day and by chance they had an hour to spare the same afternoon (to my relief) and reasonable charges too! Rick was friendly and completed the work for me amazingly so i could stay on the road . Thank you !
Update: Went back to Rick this week for my mot and brakes to be replaced .... once again even in these odd times he fitted me in without any complaints of extra bits I wasn’t originally booked for , he replaced the bits I needed to pass my mot and once again the charges were reasonable and the service was a lot better than some bigger places . I have officially found my new garage for my car! Won’t be going anywhere else !!
I turned up late afternoon with what I thought was a slow puncture.
They removed the tyre for me and after several minutes of applying “bubble liquid” identified the small leak and replaced the tyre.
They did not charge me.
As I was on my way home, 90 miles away, I could not give them the new tyre business but I hope this review will encourage locals to use them in the future. They deserve your support and business.
Rick and his team are excellent. I’ve been taking cars there for over 15 years and can’t fault their work. I highly recommend and would not go elsewhere.
