Best KPortal Reviews
Service was very fast. All Asian wait staff. Service in the Asian style. Very prompt, informal, matter of fact.
Portions were huge. Food was amazing for Chinese in the Scottish highlands. Otherwise, just fine.
Chicken fried rice was fine. Szechuan style fish with duck was good. The duck was nice, spicy dish, lots of veggies cooked just right.
All around quality experience. We wanted something with a bit more flavor and spice after eating the same traditional Scottish food during our visit. This is the one spot I’d go to if I were stopping by.
The food is quality, fresh, served at the perfect temperature, and tasty. Definitely try the hot & sour soup.
The restaurant is clean and the service is prompt and friendly.
The staff were kind and friendly. We ordered a deep fried honey chilli chicken but it was very bland. There was barely any sweetness or heat to it but it was still enjoyable. The vegetable spring rolls and fried rice were good. Overall, it's a good enough place to eat but it might not meet your highest expectations.
The food was so so so goood! Best chinese food I've a while in Scotland, really happy I chose this place for lunch in my Highland trip cuz I couldnt find good food here???? The egg fried rice was so yummy! The service was also great, very friendly and the service was so fast!
You know you’re eating good fried rice is when you can taste a slightly smoky flavour in it. It’s one of the best I’ve eaten in Europe so far. Other dishes we ordered such as lemon chicken and deep fried shredded beef were also tasty, but the fried rice is chef’s kiss.
Being from San Francisco, we get a lot of Chinese restaurants. Hands down this has been my top 3 of not the top restaurants I've ever eaten at. The Young Chow Fried Rice from this place is now my number 1 dish. Ordered and served in 5 min. Don't miss this gem of an experience.
First time to eat here was not impressed. It was clean and tidy but a bit tired. The plastic glitter tablecloths did not add to the ambience of this place. Needs a bit of updating..
Ordered for starters prawn crackers which a large bowl arrived. Very nice and prawn toast. No problem with either of those. They were okay
For main course had we had Szechuan chicken and crispy shredded chili and honey beef with egg fried rice, we were both not impressed with either of the dishes or the egg Fried rice seems to be lacking in flavour and seasoning. We did not complain it's what we ordered but quality was definitely not there. And on leaving we were given the bill but there was no customer service was not even asked how our meal was or if we enjoyed it.
Chinese restaurant with staff being able to speak Mandarin, Cantonese and English. The price is reasonably high given that it is next to The Loch (it is around 13 pounds for a dish of fried rice)
Food quality is unexpectedly great which is comparable to those in HK. The spicy sour soup (7 pounds) is splendid, the spiciness and sourness is on the point. The fried rice well mix the sauce with the rice and the rice used is perfect for frying (soft one), yet the texture of the chicken might be a bit too dry. The vegetable (10 pounds) is average but still serve to soothe your mouth after tasting the tasty and spicy food, but I would say it is too pricey for an easy food.
