I ordered a Naga Chicken Tika curry from Regency Cottage.
Guys, firstly, the food was OK, and I say that because the curry was no where near hot enough to be a naga curry.
Secondly, the chef needs to add individuality to his or her curry, because there was too much base curry there. C'mon chef, LIVEN IT UP A LITTLE!
Also, and I'll say this again! Do they think that us people that live here in the UK are ignorant on WHAT a curry should taste like?????
Blimey, I've been making and eating and making curry for over 30 years! Don't think we don't know what we're talking about!
Very disappointed with tonight’s service. We spent £70 on a takeaway for my son’s birthday. Firstly, the food was delicious. Can’t fault the taste, it was lovely and hot and quick delivery BUT… we ordered a pilau rice, the whole room heard us order it, the restaurant even read it back in the order! But it wasn’t delivered. We rang and the guy at the restaurant was very rude. Claiming we didn’t ordered it. Making comments such as ‘ I’m not psychic ‘. We asked for another rice to be sent to which they agreed but said that we wouldn’t get it for free and did we want to pay cash or card? We never assumed we were getting it free? Again another unnecessary comment. Once the rice was delivered, the delivery driver claimed he had no change for couldn’t give us the £1.90 we was owed? What deliver driver doesn’t carry change? The rice we ordered was pilau and then they sent boiled? So we paid £5 for a rice that wasn’t even correct! The restaurant then rang us to say ‘ are you happy now ? ‘ … such a shame the staff have bad attitudes as we are regulars and now we will never use them again and will not be recommending them to anyone!
Very nice Indian recommended to us by a local on job we were on and they were not wrong. Everything was so tasty and cooked perfectly. Nice looking restaurant with friendly staff and clean loos. Definitely recommend ????????????

Ordered a butter chicken and it came with cashews, almonds and sultanas. I don't know of any other Indian restaurant that puts this in a butter chicken. I checked their menu, no mention of adding this at all.
The owner (I'm guessing) argued with me about it and then said it was the "chef's special". I don't care what the chef's special is, I ordered something which is a set dish. Just wondering how things would have been different if I had an allergy.
Also I had been here twice before and there was none of this nonsense in the butter chicken.
I got it taken off the bill in the end. AVOID and go to the other Indian round the corner, its much better.
I had a very bad experience,
First of all the staff member was so rude as we entered and asked for a table ; even though the restaurant was all empty and still he asked us to wait, that too in a rude tone(have you booked in advance).
Later after ordering, the staff was talking in their own language looking at us as I asked for paneer(veg) options and he asked us to just check menu and also order the food in a one go because they have many online orders. This is not the right way to treat your customers.
The food just looks delicious but the taste was pathetic. It is just named as Indian restaurant, but it doesn’t taste as authentic Indian food at all.
Booked for Boxing Day with family. Service was great. Dishes were spicy even though we ordered mild.
Wonderfull food and staff as usual couldnt b any better
