Best KPortal Reviews
We had our first post-lockdown meal at Reflections Restaurant and it was brilliant. The chosen menu was very tasty, we each had 3 courses and there isn’t a bad thing to say about any of them. What really made the experience was the service though. Zoltan was an excellent waiter and made us feel incredibly welcomed and they’ve managed to keep a sense of atmosphere even with the spaced out tables.
We had a lovely relaxed meal here which was very tasty. The twist on a traditional prawn cocktail was a particular highlight and gave me food envy!
Very nice food but slow service. We were able to get halal chicken. And lamb which was nice surprise. The good was good quality and tasty. Service was too slow...having to wait almost 40 mins from out starters to main.
The food, service, drinks - everything was brilliant. Main review on Alexander House.
The dinner experience was, unfortunately, extremely below par. The service was slow and relatively non existent but worse the food was extremely poor.
I had the ‘catch of the day’ of which I had one mouthful, it was bland and dry and inedible. Considering the plate came with 3 items, the largest being the fish, I was surprised that the waiter didn’t notice I’d eaten non of the fish. My wife had the port line which was dry and over cooked. Due to having zero contact with the waiters we ended up paying and leaving. The quality of food and the price was horrendous, I’ve had better service and food at a fast food restaurant.
I will not recommending this restaurant to any of my friends or family.
Reflections is a lovely restaurant. It's one of the few places with a relaxed dress code and environment combined with stunning food. We had a choice from a full vegan menu - four great choices per course, the first time I've ever seen that. I went for an incredible potato curry pie. The only downside was Becks Blue as the only non-alcoholic beer option - of the hundreds of excellent brands available, that's easily the worst one. Strange for such an excellent restaurant. But overall super lovely, great service, ace place.
Disappointing experience, first told that there were no sirloin steaks left, and after ordering a medium rare fillet steak at £37 it came medium to well done. After sending it back I was told that's what the chef considers to be medium rare so if I want it less cooked it will need to be rare, reluctantly I accepted because I thought it would come medium rare or medium at worse, but the steak came pretty much blue. Moral of the story is that the chef here has no idea how to cook a steak and no concept of correct temperatures. A+ for service though, the manager was very polite and even gave us dessert on the house.
I don’t normally write reviews but honestly I got disappointed, the food was frozen and warmed up. I could imagine it was because of the bank holiday …. The wine was good though???? hopefully next time a better experience.
