Lovely friendly pub with a good sized outdoor area. Dogs are very welcome and a great selection of excellent and great value home cooked meals. Great beer too
Good basic room with tiny kitchen area (no crockery or cutlery though), and small ensuite. TV in the room, and comfy, clean double bed. Quite mid 90's decor. breakfast was very traditional (cereals, Tea/coffe and toast to help yourself to), order the cooked breakfast you require. Well cooked and lovely. Very dog friendly.
Lovely period pub , great atmosphere, locals were really welcoming , would recommend anyone in the area to drop in for a drink and bite to eat

I can't review the food or drink at this pub because after nearly 20 mins of waiting we walked out. The bar was not busy, 2 people behind the bar, walking around like they had all day to serve people!
Don't visit here if you're in a hurry.
We stayed over for Christmas lights turn on fantastic pub and friendly staff room was little cold so the staff changed our room no probs.Breakfast bang on best bacon ever.Thanks for a great stay Eileen and staff see you soon ❤️ Karen & Dave xxx

Stayed in the Red Lion for the week-end. It was very friendly and the food was spot on. Such big portions and well presented. Room was lovely and clean. Pillow was just how I like mine to be. Staff were very good. Breakfast that was really good. Owner is lovely and chatty and works so hard to make sure you enjoy your stay.
Absolutely fantastic carvery lunch! Popped in by myself and was served by the lovely bar staff. Great shandy too thank you!
