Friendly guy. The best thing batter ever and the freshest fish . I had an o.a.p cod and chips .it was cooked perfectly . Hubby popped in for me and he was so impressed . Its a bit of a drive for us but one we won't mind doing . Was delicious
I never ever write reviews but I’m so infuriated by the 40 minute wait I have just had to have for a single pie and chips I’m writing this! It was incredibly busy with lots of large orders being cooked, however rather than using some common sense and juggling orders to pick a single pie (that I was stood looking at already cooked) and chucking some chips in some paper, I had to wait until allll the other orders were cooked and done before I could have mine. Seriously ridiculous. If you’re in a hurry for food don’t go here!
Staff are friendly, polite, always happy to help and have a chat. The burgers are nice, chicken is crispy and moist. Cod and battered sausages are crispy, well fried and delicious.
Probably one of the best chippies in Ipswich. The staff are very chirpy and helpful. The only reason. I have only given 3 stars for atmosphere, is that it only has a takeaway service, no seating or restaurant services. The proof that my opinion is shared by many others, is the amount of customers queuing in the evenings most days of the week.
Used to be great here but went on b/h Monday last week and it was terrible. Soggy batter on very small portions of cod despite supposed to be large. Chips were very undercooked and white. Will not be recommending anymore! Clearly something has changed here such a shame
Great fish and chip bar. Scampi is excellent. Only thing to moan about is when ordering scampi they don't ask if you want tartar sauce and I don't always remember to add it. Apart from that nothing to worry about. Even the dog enjoys their sausages
Worst fried fish we ever had. Ordered 2 large plaice which were cooked to death in old dirty oil, batter was inedible. Threw both portions in the bin and settled for a homemade cheese sandwich. Won’t be returning
Saveloy and chips all good, would go again
