Great wee find on our weekend away there. Staff very friendly. Me and my daughter had roast beef dinners and it was amazing. Will definitely pop back whenever we're down that way.
Nice wee village restaurant / pub. The food was outstanding and the service was awesome. Not much in the way of atmosphere, but it is a tiny wee pub and we were there at early dinner time.
Nice food in a nice setting with friendly staff and a basic bar. The large dining room looks nice but the tables in the lounge area are more like a cafe setting and very close to the bar.
Lovely place to have a drink and a meal definitely recommend
Excellent family lunch on Hogmanay...delicious food & brilliant service with a smile. We hope to be back whilst in the area & would highly recommend!
Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Lovely food, warm and friendly service, would recommend
We had a lovely meal. The food was great. If I had a fault it was there was too much on the plate for us. The waitress was lovely helpful & gave me my leftovers to take back for the dog. Dog had no complaints & ate the lot and curled up contented with a full tummy! A lovely choice on the menu. I chose the Gammon. My partner had the venison sausage in a massive Yorkshire pudding with mashed potato's, three large venison sausage gravy, and a selection of vegetables served separately. My partner even struggled with portion size but loved it. There was such a lovely choice we were spoiled we should have gone in at the beginning of our stay & gone back every night then we could have tried all we fancied. LOL. Locals were friendly too & when they admitted they have their tea there twice a week regularly that says something. It's not overpriced, either.
Lovely welcoming pub, excellent food and lovely staff.
If they would dim the lights a little it would make it more cosy and improved the ambience ????
