Rab Ha's Pub offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that beckons guests in from the cold winter chill. As I stepped inside this traditional-style pub, I was greeted by the cozy ambiance and friendly smiles of the staff, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience.
One of the highlights of my visit to Rab Ha's Pub was trying haggis for the first time. Haggis, a traditional Scottish dish, is made from minced sheep's offal (such as liver, heart, and lungs), mixed with oats, onions, and spices, and then encased in a sheep's stomach. Despite my initial apprehension, I found the haggis at Rab Ha's Pub to be surprisingly delicious. The rich, savory flavors paired perfectly with the hearty texture of the oats, leaving me eager to indulge in this Scottish delicacy again.
Another standout dish at Rab Ha's Pub was the sticky toffee pudding. Served warm on a cold Glasgow evening, this decadent dessert was a true delight for the senses. The moist, spongey pudding, drenched in a gooey toffee sauce, melted in my mouth with every bite, leaving me craving more.
In addition to the haggis and stick toffee pudding, Rab Ha's Pub also offers a variety of other comforting and satisfying dishes. The macaroni and cheese was warm and hearty, providing the perfect comfort food fix on a chilly night. I couldn't resist ordering a side of Cajun-style fries to accompany my meal, adding a spicy kick to the dining experience.
For those craving a classic pub favorite, the BLT sandwich at Rab Ha's Pub is not to be missed. Stacked high with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and tangy slaw, the BLT was a delicious and satisfying option. The generous portion size ensured that I left the pub feeling fully satisfied.
Overall, my experience at Rab Ha's Pub was nothing short of fantastic. From the welcoming atmosphere to the delicious food and friendly staff, this traditional Scottish pub exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you're a local looking for a cozy spot to escape the cold or a visitor eager to sample authentic Scottish cuisine, Rab Ha's Pub is a must-visit destination in Glasgow.
Very tasty haggis, neeps and tatties with whisky sauce. A hearty portion in a cozy setting. There was a real fireplace which I loved. A bit pricey at £16, but no service charge, so it was ok.
Would definitely return!
Lovely wee pub. Nice decor and feel to the place. Cosy vibe. Staff were warm and friendly. Liked all the table ware and glasses on the table and the decor throughout. Food was excellent. Nice choice of drinks. Would definitely go again.
Cosy pub environment but staff were more interested in laughing and joking about than noticing customers. Steak pie was very average although sticky toffee pudding was great. Took about 10 mins to get attention for dessert order. During the course of the meal we noticed that someone had stuck used chewing gum onto the plastic flowers in the middle of the table, surely this wouldbe noticed if cleaning properly. All in all very disappointing
Great place to eat and drink also stayed in rooms lovely room and good location in merchant city at reasonable price
Great place to eat or just hang out for a drink.
Great food at decent prices and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.
The best meal I had in my 10-day trip through Scotland. Also the best atmosphere. Thanx!
