I am so happy to see such stellar reviews for the Queens Head. I listen from New York to Ranjit every weekend on the Nick Abbot show and of all the regulars, he’s far and away my favourite (followed by Jan, Jonathan in Harrow (despite his views) and the Welsh guy in Cornwall and others). I will definitely make a detour to Oldbury when I next drive down to Wales from Heathrow, to sample Ranjits highly rated Fish and Chips and shake his hand.
The food is great, we've not had a bad meal. The shop is very clean and the staff are very polite and friendly.
Can't rate this place highly enough, Didn't realise it was cash sales only, and all ATMs locally were out of service, they very kindly trusted us to take order and bring cash back later. Food superb, remained hot on home journey. First class ☺
Chips were soft & not cooked properly, we both had a bad taste afterwards, & my wife was sick afterwards, I had to get up early be cause my throat was dry, & still nasty taste in my throat still.
Pies were hard pastry & were properly heated up inside a microwave.
Would now stir clear of this shop & never, return!
Large fish n chips and Tinned Roe n Chips all cooked fresh. Was SUPERB!!! Really friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. Will def pop in again.
Must say the fish is very tasty. The staff in the chip shop are also very polite overall. I will go again. I was very impressed
Me and family have been going to this chippy for awhile now the chips are awesome plus everything else we have chippy once a week for a treat and wouldn't go anywhere else locally! Staff are lovely aswell definitely recommend this chippy!
Great food and super helpful and friendly staff. Will be coming back!
