A fantastic small hill climb with a fascinating rock formation at the top. A food day out for most ages although not pram or buggy friendly.

Great walk only 30 mins drive from Glasgow city centre. Was a good walk with the dog. Lovely views of Loch Lomand.

Brilliant walk, moderate effort required but its reccommend you wear decent footwear as its muddy, slippy and narrow in places. Car park is a decent size and there are plenty refreshment stops nearby in Carbeth, Drymen, Balmaha, Coftamie, Kilin, Balfron, Buchlyvie and surrounding areas.

It's not the tallest hill, or the most challenging but the view from the top is fantastic. Starting from the large car park at the bottom, a walk up and back down can be done in an hour, if you want to enjoy the views and explore the rock formations, then give it 2 hours. The steepest part is at the beginning, once you've made it up the grassy shoulder, it's not so bad. It is very wet and muddy in places, especially if you get to the top and head for the trig point, waterproof shoes are a must. On a clear day, you can get great views towards Glasgow and Lanarkshire in one direction and a really lovely view over Loch Lomond from the other. We normally pack some food and sit on the rocks looking towards Loch Lomond eating lunch. It can get busy so arrive early.

Not quite as quick to be up and down as others have said, but it was a good walk with great views of Glasgow and Loch Lomond from the trig point.

Nice easy hill. There were thousands of heather flies, so probably didn't go at the best time! Great views!
