Ordered a Sundays dinner from here a couple weeks ago and was delicious! Great portion size especially for the meat. Well worth the money and would order again :)
Positives
Food here was delicious. We ordered two burgers and they were fantastic. Great burger, juicy well cooked steak and king prawn to top it all off with a delicious sauce. I am looking forward to trying some of the others such as flatbread which look amazing online.
Negatives
The online system implemented by the business is terrible. It leaves them with no choice but to accept an order (we asked for food at 18:30) but they then ring you back after to say they have too many orders and food will be with me at 21:00. I went to collect instead as I live 10 minutes away only for the order to be lost. I even had an email confirming a 18:30 delivery.
Summary
They are clearly pushed with low staff numbers compared to the high orders received. If they can implement a slicker ordering process and have someone dedicated to the phones this place will be brilliant. The food has been lovely and we will return, I may just try and phone and order in though.
Had bad experience tonight getting my order collected. I went at the due time but still had to wait 25 mins in the car before food was ready as they were running behind. Wouldn't have been so bad if they had told me how long it would take.
Food definitely did not justify the wait and for the life of me I can't understand how the rice was cold considering it was cooked fresh.
Absolutely fantastic food, simply couldn’t fault it. Having read the silly, childish and spiteful reviews, I can only assume there must be two places called Pulp Kitchen, because the one that my wife and I frequent is literally perfect. The place is spotless, well maintained and all the staff can’t do enough to help.
Perhaps the people who have left the petty and silly remarks, should stick to the £6 all you can eat buffets they’re probably used to, and leave the way clear for people seeking informed unbiased opinions, to find them here. Great tasty food, massive choice, well made, well presented and vastly better than the rest of the competition in this field!!
Great food, katsu box always a fave. Ignore the poor reviews and try for yourself at least once. Service much improved since removal of ability to choose collection time but a little more care needed with options/notes on online orders would improve the experience.
Don’t mind travelling to eat here but hoping the new shop might be a bit closer!
I hate to leave a negative review, but we have ordered from here 5 times and 4 time the food has been very very late, the other time it came 30 mins early...
We ordered lunch for our staff at around 9.20am for 12.45 (a time slot given by the Pulp Kitchen staff) At 1.30pm we rang to ask if it would be much longer? Only to be told it had not even left yet and would not for at least another 15mins! The lady said they had received a large order from the hospital so ours despite being ordered before was just pushed to the back of the que.
This was a last meal of the year with all of our staff in work together and it was completely ruined, we have no time to have any lunch at all now.
I'm sorry but that is totally unacceptable.
I absolutely love the bacon sandwiches from here, that being said, everything I've had from here has been quality! Better than your average takeaway! Staff are always exceeding expectations and never fail to make you feel welcome! Hats off to you all, working those extra long shifts to keep us all fed ❤
Just ordered a breakfast, said call round in 15 minutes and I did it was ready as promised. Excellent quality for £6, you would pay three times that in a good quality Hotel. Great friendly service. I suspect the people leaving bad reviews have an ulterior motive.
