Very welcoming rooms we're lovely everything you needed. Breakfast was was amazing the owners were lovely we would definitely stay again location was good for us. But next time we stay I would ask to be on 2nd floor as the stairs were just abit to much for me.
Not great location (opposite a pub so bit noisy) but quite central. Unfortunately, we were allocated a top room (62 stairs) so quite a climb. Separate bathroom across the hall so not ensuite ( not great for the older guest). However, very nice breakfast and host.|
This is a well-ran bed and breakfast with a caring, friendly host. The bedroom and bathroom are spotless and spacious. The location is good for walking to a variety of shops, restaurants and several area attractions. Breakfast is very good, and plentiful - with hot and cold choices.
I stayed here with my parents here after we went to my uni mates wedding in LLandrindod Wells. I was on the top floor, my parents were on the second.||My bed was really comfortable - the views of the Welsh countryside were pleasant from my bedroom window. The bedroom and en-suite was clean and tidy. My parents said their room was good too and they had a comfortable night’s sleep.||Breakfast was delish, my Dad & I had the Full English, my Mum had poached egg on toast with smoked salmon. Ruth (the owner), was friendly and welcoming, I would definitely recommend this place to friends.
The arrival greeting from Ruth was very friendly. We were shown to our room which whilst old (it’s an old building), was very clean. Large comfortable bed. Breakfast…. be warned….. the breakfasts are FABULOUS. Excellent quality bacon, sausages etc and all beautifully cooked, and if you want to skip lunch, that’s fine, but I doubt you would be able to eat a breakfast here and still be able to manage lunch. The portions are very generous and as I say, all cooked to perfection.
I stayed with a golfing friend on the night of 1 Aug 2022. This was probably our 7th or 8th time. Never fails to please. A cheery welcome from Ruth who recognised us after a 3 year gap and a clean and spacious twin room with ensuite. We were on the top floor as always but there is no lift, so quite a few stairs to climb in this old bank building. A full Welsh breakfast at the time of our choosing the next day and time to say goodbye. Thanks Ruth!
This was a great place to stay right in the centre of Llandrindod Wells. ||The size of the room at the top of the old bank was a bonus. Clean, very comfortable and everything thought of, including the covered hot water bottles just in case - it was warm so we didn't need them, but we appreciated the thought.||Ruth is an excellent host, attentive, friendly and helpful. ||There are lots of stairs but halfway up the flights, Ruth's lovely dog is there to greet you and ask for a pat - perfect opportunity to stand still for a while to get your breath and climb the next section of stairs.||Lovely breakfasts, scrambled eggs on granary with smoked salmon was very nice, especially for someone who didn't want to have the big traditional breakfast. The poached eggs the next morning were perfect - avoiding the watery egg scenario - they have a special way of cooking them!||We have stayed in quite a few b+b and hotel places in the area, which are usually decent but this is the place that we would like to rebook for our next visit.
We spent two nights b and b here with Doris the dog. We were all made to feel extremely welcome and Ruth gave us lots of ideas for where to visit. Breakfast was lovely (Doris enjoyed a sausage too!) The room was great- lovely views from the top floor, and very spacious. Thank you Ruth - We would highly recommend.
