Pork knuckle was just cooked in Soy sauce, very plain taste although texture was fairly well cooked. Pork organ soup was sweet but the meats were very very salty. Minced pork was under cooked. Pork liver was perfectly cooked but very salty. The roast pork was bland N the skin was tough instead of crispy. I personally would not have this again. Total bill with one large beer, thb 410
Tasteless! Rice is not even fragrant & it is clumpy. Be really patience as the shop operates by elders. They might not able to remember your order or maybe remember correctly. Somehow, the shop is packed with people (could be tour agency brought the tourist here). I myself find it super unhygienic as the pork & chicken is left on the stall openly & this road is next to the shop. Cheap food = 240Baht for 4 plates

I guess all d hype i read abt how fantastic the boiled chic n pork knuckles in Betong are has increased my expectation so I was kinda let down as I didnt find them so great hence my 3* rating. To be fair both d dishes taste good but I have tasted better ones and i find the pork knuckle a little too sweet. But the soy sauce tt came with d chic is really good. Besides the taste, i have to say the price shocked me. We ordered a small plate of chic n a small plate of pork knuckle, n a plate of rice, no drinks...it cost RM66!! (i pd in RM as i had run out of baht). The nite before, i had 3 small dishes (spicy cashew nut chic, fried pork n a veg) + 1 rice+ 1 beer + 1 btl water n tt only cost me 528baht (abt RM69.50). However not all is negative abt this plc...d service is gd n friendly.
