Worst pharmacy in the world. I've never seen such rude staff, you feel that you should apologize for disturbing them. This is not a one off event, I feel sick when I have to go there. I was driving from work (50 miles) in a rush to be able to pick up my very important medication, arrived there 5 minutes before 6 to realize that they were closed. 3 staff members were still in the pharmacy, looked at me, turned around and left. I called them but they didn't pick up the phone. At the end a male staff, who wanted to leave through the entrence door, was kind enough to give me my tablets. I was grateful and told him. But the overall experience at Poplars Pharmacy is shocking. They treat people with absolute disrespect! I hope I never have to go back there!
Referred to the Pharmacy by my GP, however the staff in the pharmacy were very unhelpful, to the point of being rude. They told me my GP was stupid, and I must get a prescription for a tube of Hydrocortisone 1% cream. (This is not a prescription drug)
Awful and embarrassing experience.
I asked for Calpol for my son who is in his teens but cannot take paracetamol in tablet form (and another for my other son who is also ill).
The assistant gave me two boxes of Calpol. When I got home my wife said that it was the wrong Calpol - it was for babies, not teenagers.
So I took it back with the receipt but they wouldn't change it. So I had to buy ANOTHER two Calpols.
I'm quite annoyed with the outcome. The assistant asked me if I wanted a receipt for the additional Calpols I had bought but I said 'Whats the point? You won't take it back '.
Went to collect my prescription from the pharmacy. When I checked the bag, I found out the pharmacy hadn't given me both items of my prescription. Had to go back in (as they never answer their phone) to be told, that it was my doctors fault because they hadn't sent it through properly. Even though i had the printed, dated prescription issue note, i was told to ignore it. The women on the desk was really rude, pointing her finger at me aggressively.
I then phoned my doctor to find out that the full prescription was sent to pharmacy correctly. I then went back in with my dad to whom the women was then really nice. It turns out they actually had the rest of my medication on their shelf. I had no apology from them whatsoever.
The service in there is absolutely disgusting. This is coming from someone who suffers badly with my mental health, to be treated like that is appalling. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs.
I needed help picking out some plasters and the young lady was very helpful. Really good customer service in this pharmacy I shall be returning when I need my medicine.
The staff are emphatic, and extremely kind and helpful. I’m so glad they stayed when the pharmacy was taken over.
Awful chemist, every time I phone with a query, I get cut off , the most unfriendly / unhelpful pharmacy I have been to
Excellent service now that it’s no longer Lloyds. Nice to see a smiling face and a helpful attitude
