Had a lovely evening at Polly's Pantry, especially opened in the evening for the Milford-on-Sea light switching on ceremony.
How about this... a Christmas dinner in a Yorkshire Pudding, what a great idea and very tasty.
We arrived with 4 adults and 5 children. Seats available and were told there wouldn't be any hot food - no issue as we only wanted drinks and cakes. We then discovered we'd arrived just before closing however Richard served us and entertained the children brilliantly. We all had different drinks, some hot some cold and cakes and ice creams. Not an easy order and not ideal at closing time however Richard didn't complain once. The cakes were superb and all homemade. The kids said the milkshakes were amazing too! If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be visiting!!
Lovely, just lovely. Then pancakes looked and tasted amazing and jacket potato was veey nice. Both super filling so no space for cake sadly. Staff friendly and attentive. We are staying in the area, not local, but would absolutely visit again if we get the chance.
Maggie and all the front of house ladies are so welcoming and kind. Had a wonderful Scone with Jam and Cream.
A lovely traditional tea rooms.
Highly recommended. Very happy customers.
Thank you!
Well for the food I would of given it another star possibly but it wasnt nice sitting down and watching the young girls who was serving sat at a near table on their phones wasting time ( surely they could do this out of sight) . We had just finished our food and having our last cup before leaving when we was asked if we wanted to pay the bill, feeling a flustered about it we got up paid and left.
It's a shame because we liked the food and now I'm sure we won't be heading back in soon ☹️
Recently under New Management.
New take on a well established formula.
The new owners seem to have it just right. New additions to the menu. All cakes made on the premises, scones and cream teas a delicious treat.
Familiar faces in the serving team but well qualified team members in the kitchen.
Additional opening hours and really well worth a visit. Pre book for the cream teas. Large public car park a few steps away.
Going to be one of my favourites as very clean, very friendly, reasonably priced and good food. Bonus
We popped in on Wednesday for lunch and the chef went out of his way to clean everything down that had been used for eggs. Has I have a allergy to them. He went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. And the staff were really friendly. If you around please pop in for a beautiful meal and service. Once again my sincere thanks to one and all.
Absolutely beautiful spot for some afternoon tea, service was fast ir has a large range of handmade cakes and fresh food in a very cosy atmosphere.
