What a gem of a little shop. Stumbled across this place when I was looking for some ingredients for a polish cheesecake. Walked out with a bag full of stuff. It is surprisingly well stocked and even has a deli meat counter with delicious smoked meat and polish sausage that reminded me of Poland! Even had some cheesecakes in the fridge. The owner was super lovely too! Will definitely be back! Dziekuje!
That is the best Polish shop in the area, even better than the one in Brighton. It has a great selection of products, including vegan options such as pierogi and vegan mushroom lard which are to die for. The owner, Roman, is super friendly and welcoming (cześć!). The whole experience made me feel at home, and I intend to visit the shop frequently from now on.
Best variety and especially quality of honey and honey products in Hastings and St Leonard’s. You just can't beat Polish Shop Roman and its owner, who is passionate about honey and comes from Poland, one of the biggest honey producers in the world.
Since he opened this shop I don't buy honey from anywhere else. Today I just bought a special and very rare Coriander honey. It was soooo hard not to eat too much of it, as it's exceptional.
It's always a pleasure to go to this shop, Roman and his wife are very knowledgeable about nutrition and - very important for me - they will always recommend best quality products without being pushy or just profit oriented at all costs. I never spend less than 15 minutes in this amazing shop, as I like chatting with them, asking them recommendations about new products to try, what they like etc.
The sausages and smoked meat products are second to none, they always have real sausages made of 130% meat, not between 20-70% like British sausages (I always wonder what represents the rest).
Highly recommended, one of my favourite shops, also because the prices are very good for their top quality products.
This was my first visit to this shop. I was absolutely shocked at the till when I heard the amount to pay. Most expensive Polish shop I have ever gone to. 1kg of baleron, which is basic ham, was £17
4 small pieces of sausage £5
I'm not sure how the owner works out his prices. I am normally shopping in Eastbourne and roughly 30% cheaper on the same products.
Edit:
Maybe is good idea to stick prices on the products so people know what they are paying for. The quality was not better than regular products. I also haven't really chosen it as you stated in your replay. The lady offered it to me saying you have nice ham, and unfortunately, I went for it.
So impressed with this little place. Lots of non-polish customers I heard more English than Polish when I was there. Such genuine and kind couple who owns it as well- met them both. Loooove the rafaello cake and the ???? ♥️
Lovely Polish deli. Delicious Polish cakes and cheesecakes, good variety of cooked meats as well as general Polish provisions. Great coffee too, to drink there or take away. All this, and run by delightful people.
Lovely little shop with amazing selection of best quality Polish foods, including classics such as Kielecki (or Winiary) Mayo, horseraddish, beetroot pure, quality cured meats and much loved paprika crisps. Also sells locally grown organic vegetables and many kinds of Polish honey (some of them quite rare), herbal teas, Propolis and honey based skincare (really great!).
The owners are very kind and helpful if you have any questions or would like to order something they don't currentlly have in stock. They speak both Polish and English.
Really lovely owner, a very nice, cozy, tidy polish shop by the sea. Delicious bakery btw
