Dropped in for the first time on a Friday. It was busy, but we managed to get a table ok. We were just intending to have a tea/coffee, but I saw that the soup choice was celeriac and apple. Couldn't resist, served with crusty bread, it was wonderful. Loved the coffee too. My wife had the scone, jam and cream, also excellent.
The service was good with friendly staff.
Can recommend Platform One. Will definitely go back.
I have been twice now. I am vegan and they went the extra mile for me. The first time they made me some vegan sausages, second time falafel even though neither were on the menu. They also had delicious vegan cheesecake. The best hash browns I have ever had. Amazing coffee. Tasty beer on tap. A friendly atmosphere and nice seating inside or outside.
I had the Thai curry loaded chips and they were maybe the best loaded chips I've ever had.
Not too spicy, a bit sweet. And totally covered in beautiful crispy veg slices and herbs.
I also had an Earl grey tea and the oat milk that came with it was beautiful and sweet, it appeared homemade.
Will definitely come here again.
The desserts are also impressive, we had a millinares shortbread slice and it was so large we had to share it.
Order 2 burgers and none came with fries as they did the time before, obvs changed the menu so you have to get fries separately. At £10 or more per burger you would definitely expect to get fries included. As none of us like spice we ordered the normal burgers and when they came they were full of spice… The best thing we received were the mozzarella sticks. Won’t be going here again
Went here for first time as a treat for my mother in law. Out did all expectations. Very good. Will now be our go to venue.
This is a hidden gem. Absolutely beautiful place serving locally sourced meat. Breakfast is gorgeous and the veggie breakfast is impressive. Went back twice in one week whilst staying in dalton. Such a relaxing vibe inside and out of the restaurant has a play area outdoor for children. Has butcher's next door very good food.
had a gorgeous tasting double Angus burger with cheddar cheese and homemade chips.staff are really friendly and helpful and the place has a great atmosphere and you can even bring your dog for doggie doughnuts here while you eat.also recommend the caramel iced coffee which tasted great and refreshing.
Called in off the train after a walk on the west coast last week. Had a delicious breakfast bap followed by a couple of lovely Lakeland IPA's. Excellent food and service intend on calling again soon. Congratulations on a cracking little venue.
