Nice pub with cosy decor, but there is also a pleasant seating outside. The food was beautifully presented and indeed very delicious, but the portions are rather small for the price you pay. Great place for dinner but you may want to have a snack beforehand! ????
I went to this café in December, and it wasn't great. When I paid via Apple Pay, the money came out of my bank straight away, but the staff said it didn't work, so I had to pay again. They told me the first payment that didn't work would disappear, but it's now March, and it's still on my bank statement. The cafe is too far for me to go back and ask about it.
One staff wasn’t friendly. When my husband, our dog, and I went in, they told us we had to stand in line to order food before we could sit down. But there were lots of people at the counter, so it didn't make sense to make the area more packed. I saw other people sitting down without ordering first, and the same woman didn't say anything to them.
Also, the person making the food wasn't clean at all! They used the same gloves to touch dirty trays and used tissues from the tables and chairs, and then without washing the gloves, they used the same gloves to handle the food - salad leaves, tomatoes, crisps, bread etc. That's not hygienic at all! We ended up didn’t eat the salads, crisps and the potato skins where she touched it…
Lovely staff.
Fantastic food.
Thank you.
Visited Plas Yn Dre Ty Coffi for lunch while staying close to Bala. The staff were very friendly and the food (baps, baguettes, baked potatoes, etc) was generously filled and scrummy. Local cyclists seemed to be stopping off here for a mid ride coffee which is a good sign. Plenty of seating inside and out, I would recommend this place for a casual lunch.
Popped in for a coffee and a sack. Didn't have anything to eat as told kitchen closed so just had a coffee. Priced OK. Fast service. Coffee tasted OK.
Cosy little spot in Bala. Dog friendly, with dog biscuits at the counter and dogs allowed inside. Coffee was good quality, and the tea came in little teapots which is always nice. We had some teacakes and Welsh cakes which were a tasty snack too. Mixture of seating- some armchairs and some hard chairs, and they were doing lunch and pizzas I think. Has outdoor seating too.
Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was gorgeous (best pizza I have ever tasted). Would definitely recommend.
What a lovely cafe to stop for lunch in. We sat on a picnic bench outside to eat our food as it was a nice day. The baguettes and cakes were very tasty. Nice to get a pot of tea rather than a mug (got about twice the amount of tea than a mug for starters). Everything seemed good value for money too. The town seemed fairly lively for the size and watching life going by whilst sat there was very pleasant.
