Enormous building with 8 acres of grounds. space for at least 18. wonderful garden.
Lovely house and grounds. We stayed for a week in early September 2021. Caroline very helpful throughout and was on hand for any advice/issues. Facilities and rooms all great. The kitchen is large enough to cope with our party of 12 adults. Handy location for hitting the coast, the hills or local walk to the waterfalls. We were lucky with the weather so managed to BBQ and use the extensive lawns for some sporty type games. All in all, a great place to stay. Highly recommended.
Had an excellent week here. Great house for a large get-together with family & friends. The kids loved running around the house & playing hide 'n' seek.
Plenty of things to do & places to visit nearby - Portmeirion, Mach Loop, various beaches, Harlech Castle, steam train trips etc
So much to do that we didn't even make it to half the places on our list!
Lovely to hear the beautiful Welsh language being spoken in so many places!
Would definitely stay here again in the future.
This is a wonderful house. We had a family party of 16, ages ranged from almost 3 to 72 and a little dog. Everyone enjoyed the house and beautiful gardens. Highly recommend. Patrick and Christine are lovely they greeted us on arrival. The owner of the house popped around to see if we were all ok and she was lovely too.
When we decided to get married we knew we wanted it to be in North Wales, but we were struggling to find a venue that reflected adequately the beauty and majesty of the area; until we found Plas Gwynfryn. Our wedding couldn't have been more perfect. Many of the guests called it the best wedding they've ever been to, and the venue was integral to that. A few of our guests have even said they want this venue as their own! Unlike many other venues there is a lot of flexibility to do things how you like. This was a huge problem with all the venues we had looked at before we found Plas Gwynfryn. Caroline and Mike were so wonderful throughout the whole process ever since we first visited the place. Nothing was too much trouble and everything we wanted was made possible. They never said no to any request we had, and this meant that the wedding day was hugely enjoyable for everyone.
The rooms are so beautiful we paid to stay there an extra couple of nights and it made the whole experience so much more special to spend that time with our closest friends and family before going off on our honeymoon.
We could write hundreds of amazing things about why Plas Gwynfryn is the perfect place to get married but what really makes it exceptional is Caroline and Mike. They never seemed to us, or our guests as owners of a business but rather like our own friends.
We wouldn't recommend anywhere else.
My wife and I married at Plas Gwynfryn on 20th August 2011 - its hard to put into words what a fantastic day we had. Once we had decided to marry in North Wales, we saw a number of venues that we liked, but none that were a patch on Plas Gwynfryn - the moment we saw it we knew we weren't going to look anywhere else.
Caroline was brilliant throughout the planning phase - I am sure we took up far too much of her time but it was never portrayed as a chore for her. Her attention to detail and experience planning wedding days was very reassuring and gave us great comfort that the day would run smoothly.
Of course, one of the big advantages of the venue is that you have great flexibility on how your day pans out - it allows you to put your own touch on your day and have a very personal wedding.
On the day itself, Caroline and Mike were amazing and took all the stresses away from us to ensure the day went according to plan.
And the venue - what an unbelievable place - a stunning setting, great vistas and wonderful facilities. Thanks to Plas Gwynfryn and Caroline and her team, our wedding day truly was the best day of our lives.
Really nice house and place to stay. I came here for my 30th birthday, Caroline the host was amazing and close by there is all that you would need, pubs, shops, beach and beautiful walks.
Really nice place to stay, lots of room, good number of showers/ bathrooms, amazing gardens and views of the sea and the hills.
