Small Vietnamese takeaway although there are a few tables to eat in at. I ate in and had the chicken wings and bahn mi. Both were fine. I can’t say much else really on the food it was tasty enough. The guy who served me was friendly enough. He said they were cash only but that fine with a cash point next door.
Delicious Vietnamese street food. Bun cha, banh mi and pho, all spot on and very tasty, fried chicken was gone before I could take a picture ????. Lovely service and good prices, will definitely come back.
I loved it. Just a regular local shop. The prices are a bit more that others in the vicinity but better, bigger portions, excellent service, very friendly staff, but most importantly - the food is superb. Everything can be ordered to go, and like their advertising says, it's street food which means it's fast, tasty and popular. I've been to other Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but that is the best. Highly recommended.
A decent grilled pork banh mi which I bought to take away to eat in Southwark Park. There was a lot of lemongrass flavour in it and I'd be open to trying other things from here. I was tossing up between the traditional and the grilled pork. I took their recommendation as I did feel like something warm.
The service was great and very friendly. I didn't wait long and it probably took about 10 minutes for my food to be prepared.
As a big lover of Vietnamese cuisine, I'm glad there are more places serving banh mi. The baguette was fresh and I'd guess it was made in-house. They also serve bubble tea if you are a fan, though I did not try it as it's not my kind of drink.
It seemed like a clean restaurant. It wasn't busy on a Wednesday evening and you could walk in without a reservation if you were in the area.
Pho Nam is close to Bermondsey Tube station and a few minutes away from Southwark Park.
Great spot, a short walk from Bermondsey station, cash only so be cash ready.
Prices are fair for the portions and the flavour is there, staff are really friendly and it can get randomly busy due to (online orders)
Lots of variety to choose from so there should be something for everyone, rice, noodles, soup
Food took around 10-12 minutes, lots of the right condiments to suit your taste, 4-5 tables available that can sit up to 4-6 people
Got there at 2-20pm but they said that they’re close at 2-30pm and could only do a takeaway. And they only take cash- so I ordered and then went to get the cash. Had to take the food and eat elsewhere. When I opened the box with the pho vegetables and 4 prawns, found one black hair (see photo)! Urgh. The wraps were mostly sliced lettuce- with a few half sliced prawns and couple of pork slices that could been bought from the Sainsbury’s nearby (see photo). For the prawn pho and two rolls, I paid £16. Couldn’t even eat the pho nor take it back as the restaurant was closed. The place should be checked for hygiene!
Great lunch spot near bermondsey tube station, £6.50 for a BIG banh mi! Bread and fillings were fresh! Very good iced coffee too! Will be back again for dinner.
The Bun Cha is absolutely delicious; some of the best noodles I've ever had and delicious crunchy, fresh salad. The passion fruit bubble tea was also superb- not too sweet, not too bitter. 10/10
