My go to place whenever I crave for Asian cuisine and comfort food. Fresh, flavourful and reasonable price. Might have to wait a while during peak times as the restaurant usually gets fully booked (but I’m grateful as they’re starting to be known in the area ???? more power to you guys!). Staff are lovely and friendly too.
I ordered Shaking beef, papaya salad, special pho and also tried their summer spring rolls and sticky mango rice which were all delectable.
If you're reluctant to try it, that's your cue to go for it. The food is exquisite, full of flavor and so fresh. The portions are perfect and the prices are right. The staff is always smiling and happy, I love it. I've been there 2 times in 1 week and I just love it. I highly recommend it.
We came here twice on our trip to Sunderland!
The first night we came was a Saturday night. The waitress was on her own and it was very busy! But she was extraordinary - so friendly and efficient! We were in a little bit of a rush to get to the theatre (our mistake!) so we only ordered starters. We were so impressed we came back on the Sunday because we wanted to try more!
Again the waitress this time was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful with my allergy questions. The service and the food was top notch! Will definitely come back when we visit again!
New to Sunderland we were looking for somewhere to eat, we found Pho on the corner and we hit the jackpot.
It was empty when we arrived as they just open for the evening it filled within half hour.
Food was lovely, good portions and price. Staff were really busy but still helpful and attentive.
A definite recommend!
The food was exceptional and the service was great. We had summer rolls which were unlike any we had tried. The beef broth was stunning and the sweet and sour chicken beautiful. Highly recommended. We already have our next visit planned.
Had a lovely lunch here today. Lots of options for veggie/vegan. I had the veg pho which was really tasty, good noodles, veg and tofu in a delicious broth with plenty of condiments to adjust to your own taste. Good, friendly service and a nice clean stylish vibe.
The food in Pho 179 is amazing! It’s consistently so delicious and beautiful too. The service is also great. Each time we’ve been we’ve had lovely staff helping us choose what to have and giving us recommendations that are always spot on. Definitely recommend!
First time to eat here. The service was good and the staff was friendly. The foods were highly pleasant to our tastes. We will come back here
