Bear with me here - there's a semi famous American by the name of Yogi Berra. He's famous for malapropisms. My favorite is applicable here - "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded"!
The first time we stepped inside we saw loads of people at lunchtime and went away.
Well, long story short, we persevered and very glad we did. Once we had lunch there we've been back time and time again.
Great food, great atmosphere and brilliant staff. And, the desert counter is fantastic. Very inventive, delicious and, dare I say, decadent desserts.
So don't be like Yogi, make sure you get into Pete's. You'll be glad you did!
Our first time visiting Ellesmere itself which is a stunning traditional oldy worldy town. Stumbled across Petes. What a gem!!
All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, decor is stunning and the food was incredible.
We went and had food by the lake from Petes but I must add the atmosphere seemed very friendly and welcoming based on the short time we were in the shop due to an incredibly efficient service.
One of our boys is very selective in what he eats which is usually a nightmare for us however nothing was too much trouble!
Highly recommend the tuna pasta as basic as that sounds, it was like no other! Very fairly priced and portions were more than generous!
Environmentally friendly packaging also which is obviously the way of the world now.
Car parking also right next door so no hassel from that point of view!

We had a chicken sandwich with Brie and cranberry was to die for. We had it with the salad (very fresh) and the cole slaw (delicious). Service with a smile. I would highly recommend eating there.
Amazing. Beautiful food, excellent customer service, lovely decor, friendly bunch of staff & a huge menu choice. I just wish you'd design some seating area for the bigger person lol (or maybe I should lose some weight) but that's impossible when you serve such delicious food.
This is a hidden gem in a lovely little place the breakfast is amazing but I also suggest anything else on offer for afters slices of cake and other treats you will not be let down absolutely amazing
Best cafe I've ever been too! I was tempted by everything. Had some amazing sausage rolls, raspberry crumble & custard. Even got a peice of flapjack.
All of the food was beautiful and the homemade bread is to die for!
So lucky to have this cafe on our doorstep. I call each week to pick up my lunch. Always served with a smile, freshly made food and great value.
Nice staff. Often a bit of a queue at lunchtime but worth the wait. Great freshly made sandwiches. Yum!
