Very impressed when we had to take my dad in recently for a day treatment. Hospital is clean, new and despite being very large does not feel too overwhelming. Every member of staff was exceptional from the greeters at the door to the receptionist, nurses and doctors. Very reassuring.
Ward B6……I cannot overstate how caring the whole team were in looking after my mum in her final days. Each member of staff treated mum with kindness and professionalism. This extended to looking after me providing me with a bed and refreshments over the 3 days/nights. They all deserve a medal
I want to thank all the hospital staff for their excellent care. Especially hematology, oncology, A&E, intensive care, diagnostics, surgery, and respiratory wards. They saved my life. Excellent services received, together with total confidence in the quality and effectiveness of the treatment provided.
Fantastic hospital. My wife was in for a week or so, and she couldn't have been looked after any better. Everyone from the nurses to the cleaning ladies was very friendly and professional. Top marks to all of them.
Stayed for 2 nights for an op, on the whole was looked after very well, hospital spotless, food was good, all ok til time to go.....
Was just short of "pushed out of bed " whilst still fuzzy on painkillers, and told WE NEED TOO GET YOU MOBILE!.
I managed a quick wash & got dressed, packed, and then they made me wait over an hour for some chilled fruit which 1 of the nicer nurses put in a fridge, also my meds & discharge letter.
I appreciate they are busy, but there are better ways of speaking to people, especially when they are nt feeling good.
That nurse needs some training in people skills- she was loud, rough & a bit scary!
Shocking. My GP asked me to attend and after 5 hours the only person I actually got to see was a nurse practitioner. This person was neither suitably qualified or had the authority to arrange further investigations. In fact in the 5 hours I was at this hospital I never had any tests, x rays etc. Even my temp, blood pressure was never checked. The nurse doing the triage was very poor. How can you triage someone in just 30secs??
However in saying all of this the blame lies with the Tories. Many turn up at A&E because you cannot see a GP. The lack of GPs was well known many years ago by Jeremy Hunt. He failed as a health secretary but gets rewarded by promotion to be our chancellor of the exchequer.
Lovely welcoming hospital. Parking was good. I was dealt with efficiently and kindly. My first time as a patient here at the eye clinic. Being a retired RGN it is heartwarming to come here after my experiences at Addenbrokes.
Thank you
I was not very happy with the nurses but the receptionist was super helpful I think her name was Taaliha but she was super kind and gentle and made me feel very calm so thank you so much to her.
