I wanted to buy a spray for my ear today after removing an ear piercing that was sore so I wanted the pharmacists opinion on what to try. She didn't want to speak to me and had the (pleasant and well meaning I'm sure) receptionist relay what the problem was.
On that basis alone she decided it was infected and said a spray would do nothing and I had to go to A&E. I haven't had any pus or anything like that, just inflammation. She didn't even bother looking.
We are constantly being told to turn to pharmacists for minor issues to take the pressure off from hospitals and doctors, and this is what happens when you try to do that. It's very disappointing. Who has 10-12 hours to waste in A&E when you have children?
Pharmacist had her baby strapped to her back so couldn't have sat down with me in the consultant room regardless... a strange experience overall.
I've been to this pharmacy twice & both time been met with rude, unprofessional staff. First time the lady was on a private phone call & she didn't want to serve me . I had onset sepsis & it was the first time I used the pharmacy due to my old one closing down. I explained my situation and she responded that she wanted to go home (even though I was there within the opening hours) & that she was on a private phone call so she turned me away. Luckily the young man at the back heard & helped me out after.
Second time I needed prescription drugs & they didn't put it in the normal prescription paper bag for privacy. Met with rude snarky remarks.
A man in the queue helped me out instead as he understood the need for discretion.
Appalling service & extremely rude staff.
Would give zero stars if it was an option.
This is quite small pharmacy but stocked to the roof for anything you require. The team are friendly and polite. And the queue is reasonably small. Pick the right time. I wouldn't advise the moment they open.
Nextdoor advertised the pharmacy for wheelchair hire. I rang in respect to hiring a wheelchair. The information provided was clear and I picked up wheelchair later that day. I returned it the next day. Very good service. I would use again if needed.
Excellent pharmacy with a great team who work well together and will go out of their way to help and support you. This has been my main pharmacy for a couple of years now, and Kim has been there throughout, with a beautiful smile and a truly amazing memory for names and faces. Ola (the pharmacist) is equally friendly and helpful, especially with her small assistant, Toby. The rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful and I'm sorry I don't know their names, but their positive attitude and work is very much appreciated.
So helpful, they managed to get my medication during a medication shortage and have been incredibly helpful each month during this time. Always friendly and warm, really recommend.
I have been to this pharmacy for long time and yes people have been changed but I can still get medicine here without problem. Boots is now closed so this is closest at the moment.
The best pharmacy I’ve ever used. I get repeat prescriptions online, never had trouble, they’re always ready early and everyone is so friendly and helpful!
