Best KPortal Reviews

Undoubtedly, my favourite place while at Exmoor National Park.
The location seems from a fairy tale, the village is so pretty, the views are thus amazing.
Service and food are great, Great options for tea time or light lunch. Coffee is absolutely perfect ( as a coffee lover I am very fussy) and the price so reasonable.
I can't recommend it more!
Set in an absolutely stunning location. Seating inside and outside and dogs welcome on a lead. Staff really friendly, welcoming and helpful and wearing beautiful Hawaiian style shirts (these made me smile even on a grey, wet day!). Food beautiful and homemade. A good selection on the menu including gluten free. Plus an amazing array of homemade cakes.
A stunning setting for a tearoom! We didn't want to leave. Simple food that's well made. Perfect stop for a light lunch and homemade cake (the carrot cake was delicious). It was really lovely sitting outdoors in the sunshine taking in the beautiful scenery. Periwinkle is full of character and charm. Idyllic! ☀️
This has to be one of the most idyllic settings for a tearoom. It's similar to something out of a film. Chocolate box thatched cottages around a little village green and amazing views.
We did have a nice lunch here, but we were disappointed to see that they didn't do a ploughman's lunch anymore. Options did seem quite limited...and most things contained cheese.
Cream tea was nice. The scones were a little claggy compared to others we'd had in the week.
Fantastic cake selection though and the staff are lovely, so all in all, well worth a visit.
Fantastic service and really friendly. Lovely choice of homemade food and cakes. The gluten free offering was amazing ???? the gluten free cheese scone was by far the best one my wife has had!
Delicious scones, cakes and sandwiches!
The location here is absolutely stunning and the scones are even better! After a nice walk in the hills the scones make for a great reward. Sweet or savory they go down just as well. Absolutely delicious.
Not been back here for years. Still a spectacular location.
The food on offer was very good if a little bit on the expensive side, probably paying for the view !
The service from the female staff was very good but the gentleman could do with a few tips on customer service, manners and courtesy.
Love this tea room. Always great light lunches and cakes. Fab views over the countryside and ideal after a walk through the forest walks.
