Staff that served me was friendly enough. Shop looked fine, as did the displays.
My reason for the 2 stars was the baked treat I got. I was extremely disappointed. Purchased an average sized brownie for what I now know was too high a price, 1.70 in hope that it would be of high quality. But I could taste that cheap chocolate was used, if any at all was aside cocoa/instant hot chocolate powder for the texture and richness of flavour were poor. I'd gladly pay 2.30 for a top notch brownie, but for one that was made from what seems to be Lidl's own brand brownie mix? No way.
Now , I won't give up entirely on the place, at some point I'll go back and try something else. Maybe a sausage roll.
Great low GI bread for diabetics though a bit on the pricey side. Great pain-au-raisins... tasty but not good for diabetics but OK as an occasional treat!!! Great staff and quick service.
Percy Ingles has delicious baked goods and a friendly staff. I highly recommend their Danish rings, Belgian buns, and doughnuts.
Bread was expensive for a cob 2.20 looked nice but had better at morrisons for less then half the price!
