Quite like the general vibe of Percy Ingle but not sure about the overall quality. The chicken bakes and sausage rolls seems to be mostly pastry and hardly any filling. The sausage rolls in particular don't have much flavour. Staff however is always really friendly.
I used to go in there every Saturday morning for the best bacon roll in town.
It came on crusty kaiser roll with good quality bacon.
About a month ago they must have engaged in a major cost cutting exercise. The rolls were doughy and tasteless, the bacon a watery insult to pigs whilst having gone up in price. I have been back a couple of times but no improvement.
I have been a loyal customer in Percy Ingle shops for over 20 years but I am disappointed in my purchase today. 4 stale Kaiser rolls! !! I have always loved these rolls and will make sure I can touch them next time before I buy! !
Best bakery along with all the other Percy Ingles, their pasty’s are the best. The prices are very reasonable and the staff there are always very friendly. This branch is the nearest to me and I can’t fault anything, all round very good service and products.
Great bakery, good selection of pastries and hot food, lovely staff. Also arguably the sausage rolls around (sorry Greggs).
Always provided very fresh cookies and bread.
Nice bakery, love the collection of donoughts. Lots of other bakery items to choose from as well.
The staff are always funny and helpful here. A real smile to the end of my day most evenings.
