Really friendly pub with great food and well kept beer. They are really good for gluten-free options. They are not currently a hotel; but Google maps treats them as such. They're a pub.
An absolutely lovely pub. They have an excellent menu with many great options. Everyone agreed that the food we had was really tasty and good portion sizes. The service was very friendly and welcoming. They are also dog friendly too! I can certainly recommend a trip if you're in the area looking for food and or a drink.
Came here a couple months ago after a long and rather cold walk in the peaks and finished the day off with a hot cup of tea and the loveliest soup I've had in a long time (soup of the day - cauliflower and cheese). Beautiful place and lovely service too.
The best meal I have had out in over 20 years (mixed grill) past this on to the chef ???? my husbands fish & chips was great too.

The staff were really nice and welcoming, really interesting in the walk that I'd been on, took great care in pouring the drinks I had and wanted to know how good I thought the loaded fries I had were which very good indeed.

Super friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
The menu is an excellent mix of traditional homemade pub fare and an extensive range of specials.
There is always a good selection of alternative foods as well (veggie, vegan) and a decent drinks selection at the bar too!
I have yet to stay there, but if the rooms are anything like the rest of the pub, you're surely onto a winner.
Really lovely local on a great walking route too. Staff are always really friendly. My only feedback would be to lose the fake foliage on the outdoor area it’s not needed :)
