I just got fish and chips from this place and some onion rings. I don't eat fish but today I decide to try something new . All my co-workers got in shock after I mentioned I never try fish and chips since I move to UK. They all recommended this place so I decide to try it today. I'm a person who hate fish but in this situation I eat my fish and even enjoy it. It was nice and crispy, it didn't have bad fishy taste and even regular portion can feed two people. The people who worked there was very kind and it took only 10 minutes to cook my fish, they was very fast and the place look nice and clean.
Went online to get some lunch and after three phone calls and being hung up on and hungry I went to the fish shop to get my food. They said the wrong address is Uber's fault and didn't give me my money back or any food and left hungry and poorer. They had no phone number for Uber they said I should call and wouldn't feed me after keeping my money. The place was also empty at lunchtime. Should have known.
My daughter made an order online and forgot to add curry sauce to her order. I phoned the shop and they gave her a free one. Happy Christmas

Still one of the best fish and chip shops in Hackney. Here and Micky's are the best places to go for fish and chips.
Best local fish and chips. Lovely, friendly staff, always smiling. Food is always cooked fresh while u wait. Tastes fantastic
