You can only wear a hat if it's backwards, was only told this after being I the pub for about 3 hours. Thought it was a joke then security threatened to throw me out. What a joke was the only person in the pub wearing a hat.
Wouldnt let me in as I had no id, but only a photo. Which I understand as they said if police showed up and id'd they could get in trouble
But proceeded to let people younger than me in (without checking for id) because "they'd been id'd before" despite the fact if the police turnt up. (Like they said would he my concern). They wouldnt accept that??? If they didn't have id.
Such a friendly environment, really turned round from what it used to be.
Regularly busy and always a good night.
Landlord and lady are very accepting and understanding whilst keeping any unwanted behaviour out the door.
Would recommend for a drink and a chance to meet interesting people.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would grumpy staff, awful owners my partner got kicked out because he's from up north he is the most friendliness guy and wouldn't cause any problems I will never step foot in this place again! I've spent money in this place and never again and when questioning bouncers and staff why he was kicked out they couldn't even give an answer. Only went there to watch the football and have a few drinks.
Absolutely amazing place! The owners have this place running right. Great drinks, lovely staff and an allround brilliant night out! 10/10 would go and still am!
Came here once didn't have a great time atmosphere wasn't good alcohol ordered a beer which tasted weird and a glass of wine which we didn't finish as it tasted like vinegar, the staff was friendly and didn't have to wait for service either,
The fresh new look and feel inside is great. Excellent new pool table, friendly bar staff, good music and bargain price drinks.
I would have given 5 star rating but the scuffle on Saturday night ruined what was a promising night out. It was the Gen Z that couldn't handle their drinks with disregard to other customers.
The place could've done with more security to be honest and I hope they consider it going forward.
Never even knew this existed dispute living down the road. Sticky floors and grumpy staff makes it a true nightclub I suppose. Drinks well overpriced. Not sure it's the place to go folks.
